Tuna Time — Restaurant in Yucaipa

I was heading towards the Palm Springs area, so I dropped in to Tuna Time along the way. A pleasant woman greeted us, sat us, and was our server as well. Their board of Specials looks very interesting, they are definitely something to consider. Our party ordered Avocado Salad and Baked Green Mussels to share. My Mom and Aunt shared the Salmon Collar, and I got the Spicy Tuna Roll.

The Avocado Salad was a tasty starter, the avocado combined with the dressing was satisfyingly flavorful. The Baked Green Mussels were excellent. Again, I tried a bit of the Salmon Collar and it was very good. My Spicy Tuna Roll was simple but delicious.

Tuna Time remains basically the same as my first visit. A very nice little place to enjoy a meal. Service here is excellent.

It's a cozy little place to have a great meal. Our server was friendly and accommodated all our needs. Our party had the cucumber salad which was very refreshing. I normally would give this a higher rating but tonight, my experience was horrible. I ordered the incredible roll and it was covered in a ton of mayonnaise or something creaming. I had 1 piece, my husband had one piece I could not eat anything after that. We told the server that we could not eat it and asked to order another item in it's place. When we went to pay, the owner refused to take off the charge for the nasty loosely rolled mayonnaise dish... That was far from incredible. ( We have ordered this many times and always good) Anyways we had to pay for the nasty dish and the one we thought would replace this. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and will not go back because of this experience. It's too bad the owner does not have an idea how to treat his guest. He could have handled that much better and had a returning guest. For that, I write this post and I will share my story with others in hopes they go elsewhere for their sushi needs. We have been going here for years! I noticed a charge discrepancy on my last order, totaling $10. Obviously not a ton but, I brought it to the attention of the restaurant over the phone and they were not responsive. When my husband picked up our most recent order he tried to explain and show the screen shots of the receipts and the lady that answers the phones all the time waved the phone out of her view and said rudely, we don’t change prices. She told us to talk to Chow Now, which is the ordering site. I was hoping maybe they’d just give us a credit towards our order or something but the rude reaction was completely uncalled for! We almost stopped going because of a significant price increase but now it may be from lack of customer service! It’s sad to patron a local business, that is pricey, and get treated so poorly!
