Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Yucaipa

Dutch Bros Coffee recently opened in Yucaipa, CA and it seems like the town and neighboring cities are welcoming them with open arms.

WAIT TIME The drive thru line was expectedly long, as it wrapped around the building and into the overflow lot up the hill. We drove in at 3:27pm, placed our orders at 3:58pm, and got our drinks in hand at 4:12pm. The total wait time was 45 minutes.

CUSTOMER SERVICE Despite the long wait times, the staff was very welcome and enthusiastic -- even under the hot sun. I LOVED the handwritten "You're beautiful" sign just above the drive thru pickup window.

TIPS FOR ORDERING Today was the first time I experienced the drinks at Dutch Bros Coffee. And because it was super hot, I wanted to order one of their blended drinks.

WHAT WE ORDERED Medium Blended Coconut (I didn't taste coconut in mine so I was a bit disappointed. It tasted like the Healthy Choice Fudge Bars blended in ice. It's not bad but it's not what I expected. It was a little too sweet so I wish I ordered a small). Overall, I didn't mind the wait since I had company in my vehicle. It will take at least 20 minutes since it is still Grand Opening month so be patient. I'll most likely come back in a couple months when it's not super busy. Service was excellent!...

One hour long wait is ridiculous. Totally not worth the wait. Been to other locations and this one should run much better than it does. Zero star if I could. Arrived at the Dutch Bros in Yucaipa, CA on 11/13/21 at 10:55 am.  Line was wrapped around the building and up the street which is on a hill.  Thought to myself, I drove 45 minutes to get to this location as this is the closest one at this time to me.  Should have driven up to Apple Valley, ca location.  Better service up there and less of a wait.  So I ordered right away about 5 minutes into my wait.  Lots of people in car and lots standing outside.  As I made my way thru the line, it didn't seem like anyone was being serviced.  I watched the people standing and waiting and only once in my hour long wait did I see anyone get a drink they ordered.  About halfway through my wait, I wanted to leave.  No way out of the drive thru.  So I continued to wait, and wait and wait.  Seriously,  one entire hour in a double line of about 20 cars and it takes this long to get a drink?!?! Totally not worth it, my drink didn't taste terrible but it sure wasn't anything great either and I have had this same drink at 3 other locations and it was so delicious,  but not at this location.  I have recently been turned on to Dutch bros but after this experience, I would rather just partake of Starbucks instead of wasting an hour of my life sitting in the sun, hoping my car doesn't overheat from having to throttle for an entire hour.   Your company should do better, much better for something so...

I’ve seen so many people hyping up Dutch bros ever since they came to Cali. I’ve always wanted to try them out and see if they live up to the amazing reviews they get and I was finally able to stop this location a few months ago with my family.

Of course, as always they had a long line. Everyone else either loves their drinks or wanted to try them like we did. They have so many drinks and flavors available it was hard to choose but I ended up going with the Dream Weaver which is hazelnut and white chocolate.

The guy taking our order was nice. They have them standing outside like it’s In n out or Chick Fil A. Honestly I felt bad for him. It’s only coffee! But regardless, their customer service is good! He was friendly.

That’s really the only good thing I have to say though. Honestly I think their drinks are hyped up for no reason. My Dream Weaver wasn’t the best. It tasted watered down, but somehow the hazelnut really hit hard. I couldn’t taste any white chocolate though. It was honestly a disappointment.

Maybe next time I should try a different drink. Their lemonades look good! Hopefully those are better than what I got my first time. If I do end up going back, that is. I give two stars for the good service but the taste just isn’t there for the price you pay. Might as well just go to Starbucks or...
