Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Yucca Valley

This is my first time eating at this establishment. I was told that it was gonna be expensive but I didn't believe it till I tried it myself. We paid for a 2 meat plate with 2 sides and a drink. Me and my husband decided to share our lunch. When we got our food, it was tiny. It needed flavor most definitely. Paying $20 for one meal, that small was not worth it at all. Tastes should always be there. It should be something that you would long for. Their bbq sauce was nothing special at all. It tastes generic. One normal one, the other one tastes like they added sugar and the last tastes like they just added pepper flakes. Although the staff was semi friendly, I wish there was a warm welcoming. The place though looked like a generic bbq place. There was a part of the restaurant that sort of bothered me. There is a picture of a cow and the meat parts but when you look in their menu, theres only one kind of beef which is the brisket. It would have been nice if they added more steak options. I do not know if I would go back to this place because there are other places that people can eat steak in. If maybe they add more beef...

This location manages to surprise me in a bad way every time we visit. My husband and I are in complete shock. We ordered our food unpon payment we were prompted with a tipping screen prior to receiving any actual service. I get it I'm always happy to tip for good service. However I would not describe the service received as even moderately decent. After paying 54 dollars for 2 two meat plates The cashier kept our receipt, brought us cold food, gave my husband one wrong side and then told us that his other side would be out shortly, silly us for thinking he was being honest. We proceeded to finish our food, at that point my husband walked up to the counter and asked if he could just get his additional side to go. He was told yes again silly us, we thought he was being honest and would being receiving our paid for side shorty we waited an additional 10 minutes at that point my husband approached the counter again and asked if his side was done yet to our surprise the side still hasn't even been started yet. Needless to say we decided to cut our losses and leave. 0 out of 10 do...

Omg this place is awesome. Customer service is an A+++ Tim the manager was overly compensated for a coupon that wasn't going through because of a small little glitch in the computer and a new guy that was just starting his first day and didn't know how to put coupon in the computer so he called Tim and was able to help me! Gave me a full refund which was really nice. I will definitely recommend this place. The food was absolutely delicious. If u go here please be sure to get the big huge pink breast cancer plastic cups they are surely fun to drink out of and to support a cause!!💕. Thank you Tim and owner for hiring people that absolutely amazing in customer service! The girl that worked there was so nice as well. Life is too short to hire mean employees which I see all the time! But not here! If u are looking for some good bbq and excellent customer service and great big smiles head over here ☺️ they will all take good care of...
