After a four hour long drive, I decided to stop at Panda Express with my mom to grab something to eat. I ordered teriyaki chicken, steak and shrimp, and a half-and-half side of chow mein and super greens. When I asked for the super greens, I noticed there werenât any in the tray. The manager (or who I assume is the manager, since heâs always in a different shirt and usually directing the team whenever I visit) told me there would be a bit of a wait, but theyâd be ready soon. I told him that was fine. He then called over to two employees on the grill and let them know he needed super greens.
Thatâs when things got a little oddâthey immediately started complaining and saying something back to him (I couldnât make out what). Naturally, I was watching because I was confused. You're on the grill, youâre supposed to be cooking sides and entrees, and a customer requested something you offerâso why the attitude? It honestly didnât make sense.
Anyway, my mom paid for the food, and we reminded the cashier that our order included super greens. She told us, âOh, they already put them in your plate.â That was surprising, because the manager had just said they needed to be cooked. When I got home and opened my plate, I found only three small pieces of broccoli and a single piece of cabbage.
It was disappointing, especially because I come here enough and almost always get chow mein and super greens so I know the portions. I donât expect a huge portion, but at least a reasonable amountâespecially when Iâm paying for a side thatâs meant to be vegetables. To make things worse, the broccoli I did get was barely even cooked.
Honestly, I think Iâll be taking a break from this location for a while. I couldâve gone to China Star down the street, gotten more food, no attitude, and spent less moneyâeven if they had to...
Read moreRant, panda express in yucca valley. We went there with my parents on Monday to use the $25 gift card they received. First off, the girl at the drive thru did not know how to apply the gift card, scratched the back so hard you could barely see the number. We went back later to grab something for my daughter, another staff person was working and the card worked perfectly. Second, they did not have any veggies, our chow mein was cold, the rice was also cold, not luke warm, cold. The portions were very small in comparison to usual. We received no sweet and sour sauce for hubbies egg rolls, no teriyaki sauce for the teriyaki chicken. I asked for mustard, received none. So, i actually called to to tell them all the problems, since it wasnt just one issue. They offered me one comp plate out of the four we ordered. The manager told me to come anytime to pick up the one plate. We went today, first off, the girl was so rude...i mean really rude. Then when i was at the window, she said my name wasnt in the book and that i needed the receipt, the manager never told me to bring the receipt. I asked to speak to the manager, she said he was on his break. In the middle of lunch hour. So, she snapped at me to go park in the front. We parked, she came out irritated, yelled at me that next time i needed a receipt and tossed the bag at us with the teriyaki chicken, no teriyaki sauce, didnt ask if we needed anything else....just the worse customer...
Read more2nd attempt. First dinning experience I chose the fried orange chicken and something else fried. The texture and flavor was way off. If you had blind folded me and asked what I was eating I couldn't have told you. 2nd time today I went in with healthy in mind. For a meal they give you a choice of chow mein, fried rice or veggies. They were out of veggies so the person taking my order pretended it wasn't a choice thinking the fat guy wouldn't mind not eating veggies. Little did she know I just started a diet so I had to wait for veggies. Then for the entree I ordered the only thing on their menu I could which was the chicken breast and green beans. Which they were out of also. I said fine since I was waiting for veggies any way. Then the cashier seemed confused on how to ring up an order without a filled plate in front of her so I retrained her. Later I had to ask how it was coming, then someone asked was I still waiting, then she asked the cook and her seemed irritated and started muttering to himself and kept muttering for some time. People can be funny that way. Just wish they weren't cooking me dinner. So the food finally came and to make up for the wait they busted my diet by giving me a double portion. And yes I kept a smile on my face which only proves I'm getting older. This was the one in Joshua Tree....
