This is possibly the most negative experience, I have had all year. It was a slow morning I’m sure. After waiting for 10+ minutes to place my order, which was understanding since there was only one guy there. The guy which I have now found out is the GM finally took my order. I proceeded to order the biggest burger they had and a lemonade. They guy informs me it will be a 10 minute wait. I await as he takes more orders and another employee shows up to assist l. Roughly about 5-7 other people order right after me. After waiting 20+ minutes still nothing with my order not even my drink. But other orders after mine was take has been completed and gone. Another lady that was standing in line behind me. Joins me at the counter to ask “what was going on” “Are we bring skipped?” . He explains the wait and shortly after her order is complete. I have now waited 30 minutes for something they said was going to take 10 minutes!!! As the GM asks what is it I’m waiting on. I replied with my order but also ask how is it that “every single order after mines has been completed but my order?” he states well it’s the amount of patties it takes.. There is no way that’s possible I’ve seen the amount of burgers go out. 3 patties I’ve seen that many burgers been made. As he continues with the excuses the other employee bags up my food behind him and puts it on the counter. He then refuses to give me the food and refunds my money. Saying I’m a rude customer, if you waited 30 minutes would you not have something to say? I said that to him but he couldn’t comprehend. I didn’t use one curse word didn’t raise my voice. However, I did show some frustration but justifiable of course. Even the same that received her food before me that was in line after me was stating how this was wrong. She told me if I want the owner come on Sunday and talk to him because that was ridiculous. As I ask the GM for his name he replied with his title. ( That’s how I know he is the GM). I replied before walking away I didn’t need your excuses. Next time just start off with an apology. He still attempts to yell at me while I’m walking away from the counter.
So yet here I am 1 hour later still without nothing. Lol in less words take your...
Read moreJust tried Hynson's for the first time after reading the reviews about stellar service, excellent fries and burgers. The service was terrible. I am still trying to figure it out. My husband and I were greeted with 'are you paying with cash or card?' By a young man just staring at us. I said 'oh, I can pay with either. No problem!' And he replied ' well this machine is broken over here. (And tapped on top of the machine) ' and I said 'so, cash then. No problem!' and started reading the menu again. He continued to stare at us and said 'no, I can get you at this machine (which was right next to the other one and began tapping on top of it) so it doesn't matter. Just asking. ' I looked at my husband to see if I was on an episode of Punk'd or something and he just kind of shrugged his shoulders a little and told the young man this was our first time here. He continued to just stare at us. So we ordered our food and paid cash. He never said another word. He held the $100 bill up to the light and popped the corners of it super dramatically and then handed us our change. We sat down and my husband said 'maybe he is just having a rough day.' It must have been busy earlier because we were the only ones in there and every single ketchup bottle was empty. The burgers were fresh and good except we both ordered the onion burger and his did not have any onions on it. I was really excited to maybe have a new burger place to go to. ...
Read more1st IMPRESSION.... nice, clean atmosphere. 1st time visiting Hynson's in Yukon, placed my order and asked for a tip...why am I being asked for a tip when I just placed my order? Am I tipping on the service I may/may not receive or am I being asked to leave a tip based on the lady taking my order at the counter? I ordered the BACON CHEDDAR BURGER, Onion rings & coke. There are many choices to eat in Yukon and I chose Hynson's to see if Hynson's had anything better to offer than the other choices in Yukon. The staff was pleasant, the restaurant was clean, well lit and the menu looked clear and uncluttered. When filling my Coke, the syrup was not enough to match the carbonated water, I swapped to Dr. Pepper and had a good drink. The food presentation looked delicious but the beef patty was somewhat "small" for the bun & reminded me of "WHERE's THE BEEF" commercial. The burger was cooked right and tasted as I expected. Although, the burger was just a bacon burger with cheddar and grilled onion-nothing exciting except the size of the patty-again-WHERE's the BEEF commercial kept dancing in my thoughts. The onion rings are the institutional type and wont be memorable. I did feel the cost may be 15-20% higher than it should be. I left Hynson's with a decent meal in my belly. However, I don't have that "LOOKING FORWARD to...
