La Resaca Seafood Bar — Restaurant in Yuma

This is the first time I have been here. Overall the place isn't bad. It's suppose to be a Mexican seafood restaurant (I believe), but it's hard to tell by the music they play. It's a little strange hearing hip hop music, then pop music, then classic rock bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and other things in between. Don't I heard anything in Spanish the hour we were there. Not the best seafood I've had and I've had many my travels, but the food was good. Just don't order the taco with sweet teriyaki sauce (can't say I've ever seen teriyaki sauce ever used in Mexican seafood). Other than it is worth giving it a try for those that love Mexican seafood and don't feel like traveling to Mexico. Then driving back in the heat and long lines. It might seem a little expensive for some, but it's seafood and that's not cheap in the US. Then give you good food portions. So don't worry. Come with friends or family...

I was excited to try this restaurant after their extensive renovations. When I first entered I was greeted with an awful sewage/fish smell that only lasted while I was in the entrance. There was wonderful live music and the inside of this restaurant is beautiful! Since I love octopus I ordered: grilled octopus tacos, shrimp govenador tacos, octopus ceviche, a horchata and a water. (They charge $2 for water) The grilled octopus tacos were cooked perfectly however they were spicy. The shrimp gobenador tacos were not my favorite because they were over cooked and extremely spicy. Beware of the high spice level for most of their dishes! The octopus ceviche was good but the octopus did not taste as fresh as the grilled octopus tacos and was a bit slimy. 12/10/16 The restaurant is clean but the food didn't have any taste. Drinks were flat and food was on the border of being warm. The worse part was the waitress. Her attitude implied that she didn't care and her attention was unorthodox. For example, every time my female family member would ask the waitress a question, the waitress wouldn't look at my relative in reply! She would only look and address the answer to me! This happened even when we were ordering! Not once did the waitress look or directly address any of my female family members face to face! It was only to me! Left a bad impression on all of us.
