We went to the Landing for dinner on a Saturday night (3/16/24), there was 5 of us. Marcus was our waiter who sat us in the bar area and took our orders. Most of the dinner crowd was gone. Even though he wrote everything down, there were still mistakes. The drinks came out in the wrong glasses, we ordered drinks in pint glasses but they came in cocktail glasses. Not a HUGE mistake but still. The bartender rolled his eyes when we sent it back. When our food came out it was not all at the same time, some orders were wrong. I ordered the pancakes meal, which was good but the bacon was extra salty. We ordered well done wings but they definitely were not. Salsa was very garlicky. My cousin ordered the chimichanga with steamed veggies on the side. The broccoli came out cold and the chimichanga was cold on the inside so the waiter took the plate back. A few mins later (long enough to remake a plate) the KITCHEN MANAGER came out and said he stuck his finger in the burrito and it was hot & he didn’t know what to tell us since he wasn’t remaking it. And he said that we were going to pay for it since it wasn’t being taken off the check. My cousin said ok well I can’t have it back now since you stuck your finger in it and the manager walked off. My cousin is over 70 years old and never sends food back. We weren’t looking to have anything comped but it did need to be hot. Daniel the bartender came over and asked what happened then came back and said he talked to Cory, another manager and addressed it. He took the plate off the check since we never got anything brought back/replaced. I wasn’t done with my meal but after that, I was. Daniel asked that we give them another chance when he’s there so he could take care of us. I’ve been there before and the food and service is usually just ok, so I’m not sure I’ll go back. Everyone at the table wrapped up drinks and was pretty much done. It was very surprising and rather embarrassing to have kitchen staff come out and tell a customer what he’s not...
Read moreI came here for the first time last night and was sadly surprised in how horrible the bartender was to myself and my friend. We weren't given any information on what deals happy hour was having. I had to look it up on there website as we sat at the bar. I'm not one to require a bartender to talk to there customers but when your services customers I'd recommend to at least speak politely to them. When we went to order the food, the bartender didn't once come over to ask us if we were ready as they stood 4 feet from us ignoring us. I had to look up and stare the person, the reply I received was "I'm ready when you are". Who says that to customers in a restaurant?!? Our food comes out finally and my friend and I requested no onions. Both are plates had onions on it. Instead of just taking it back and fixing it, the bartender blamed the kitchen. At this point I didn't want anything to do with this place, so I informed the bartender that I didn't want my food, and then the reply I received was "Are you kidding me". And the last part of this horrible experience was my friend wanted to order a dinner meal after getting snacks, he requested a menu sat there and the bartender never came back to take his order. Needless to say we left at that point. I guarantee my friend and I will never come back. And if your wondering why I didn't request a manager, the supervisor came over to the area and I explained what happened thus far, and she didn't do anything the ease...
Read moreIf you are looking for run of the mill frozen food, heated to a perfect temperature at a fast food price; look no further! See bottom of review for the only thing good with this place.
The food was pretty much, for lack of a better word, matter. I say that because our food had zero taste, besides the freezer burn.
Siracha chicken bites, sounds great doesn't it! Guess again, not even sure if any Siracha was wasted with this appetizer. I definitely couldn't taste any.
Thinking about having that perfect greasy spoon dinner patty melt? Look elsewhere unless you want a patty melt with a side order of disappointment. Burger had no flavor or texture. The grilled onions and fries were good though.
My wife had chicken tacos. Same as before, bland and previously frozen. Salsa that came with tasted like it was canned as well.
Now onto the only reason for getting two stars. We sat in the bar area, as no one else was in the rest of the restaurant. The bar tender(sorry for not catching his name) was beyond a doubt one of the best waitor/waitress I have had in many years. He was polite, courteous and expeditious even with a half full bar to tend to. He even gave us a discount without us asking for it.
In all honesty, I hear this place is hit or miss. Guess this was an off night. I do not plan on testing the waters further...
