Horrible place to eat. First of all when we entered the sign by the door said "please seat yourself :)" so we proceeded to a empty table in the corner by the front window. Approximately 10 seconds later an employee (most likely owner, very snappy and conceded) came over to us and snapped at us and told us there was a waiting list which was posted no where. So we went and waited in the waiting area for a good 10 mins until we were called to sit in the same table we were going to sit at (reminder no one has been sitting there). After we were directed to take a seat we waited over 30 min just to be greeted and asked for our drinks and order. An hour later our two burgers fries and mozzarella sticks arrived. Burgers were tough and buns were as hard as leather could barley even bite them. The french fries were very poorly under cooked, and to top it all off there was hair in both our drinks. Half way through trying to eat our meal one of the workers yelled at the top of his lungs "No more refills on water!" I don't know what this was in regards to but found it very unprofessional. This will not be a place we will be visiting...
Read moreThe atmosphere here is an old fashioned Diner done in the Shotgun style. Red and White are the dominant colors. On the walls they have old photos and newspapers. Scattered around are classic Coke memorabilia. A very welcoming feeling.
I ordered the Frank's "F" Bomb Burger ($18 with fries, $15 without). A triple patty equaling 1 pound. Topped with Ham, Bacon, Pepper Jack, Cheddar, and American cheese. The Burger was fantastic. Everything goes together perfectly. The enters my top 10 Burgers for sure and might be in the top 5. I also got a Root Beer Shake ($6), it was excellent. Something different than most places, but definitely tastes like Root Beer. The person I was with ordered the Honolulu Blue Burger. This is a burger topped with bleu cheese, pineapple, ham, teriyaki sauce. It was stated to be excellent.
The service was excellent. Very friendly even though it was hectic.
Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely, I will...
Read moreI generally like Frank’s. Their food is good but it depends on what day if the week you go in. You never know if it’ll be a good day or not because they are constantly changing staff, you hardly see the same people in there because there’s such a big turnover. This causes a problem with consistency in their food. Sometimes the burgers are excellent when other times I’ve either had them dried out and burnt or too pink in the center and I can’t eat it. Same with the fries, it’s either great fries, too soggy or way too dark. You just never know because it’s always a different cook. I’ll still eat there and would recommend it, it’s got a great diner vibe and I enjoy how close it is...
