it was certainly going to be a one time eating from business after the first time was a total flop.. we were up in zion at one of my checkups for ctca and we decided , since we love Chinese food and 1 of our favorite locations had no delivery service anymore, we thought we would give this location a whirl.. well, it ended up being next to 1 of the biggest mistakes ever.. we ordered what we would typically order from 1 of our usual places and lets just say that we did everything after eating the food that was eaten except to actually puke.. although there were a few times where i had thought that maybe i would feel better if i had just vomited to get the below average and below edible foods out of my system that we had just ingested.. it was horrible to say the least.. in fact , i don't want to to even be reminded of the events of that dreadful evening.. we will NEVER EVER AGAIN SPEND OUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS SPECIFIC PLACE AGAIN.. I was almost to the point where i so very much wanted to report the place to the BBB, but for some reason I ended up choosing not too.. they should consider themselves lucky this time.. in fact we discussed how in the world they still have an up and running establishment, but this is probably why we now know why we never ever see cars parked at the establishment.. i sure hope they return to school, or fire their current cook, or do something drastic becuz the amount of money that the food cost and for what it tasted like was like , i hate to say it, but similar to cat food, not knowing what that tastes like, but the smell of the food very similar replicated that of what smelled like pet food.. Never ever again will we waste money on a frightening dispersed environment again.. we should have got up and left but decided to give the benefit of the doubt.. We would much rather spend our money on a place called CYOC.. in which i will review as soon as i can.. it may not be today, tomorrow, or even this week, but i promise to do it soon.. simple word of advice. if ur craving chinese go somewhere else, cuz anything, even a family business that doesnt specialize in Chinese dishes would definitely be better that of...
Read moreOrdered dinner for my wife and daughter. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and I had Chicken Fried Rice and Steamed Pork Dumplings. - Kung Pao Chicken not good. My daughter liked the General Tso's Chicken, I wanted Sweet and Sour Pork, but they didn't serve it, so I settled for Chicken Fried Rice, and Steamed Pork Dumplings. My Chicken Fried Rice was way over cooked, very little chicken, no egg, LOTS of big hunky onion and carrots - could not order without MSG. - Not good. My Pork Dumplings had way more cabbage in them, than Pork. I'm not a Cabbage fan at all, and was expecting a Pork Dumpling with meat in it, not cabbage.. - Not good. We ordered Crab Rangoon, which was the best part of our meal, and was very good. My daughter also ordered chicken egg rolls, which she enjoyed. I asked for a bag of Almond cookies, and they had "just rin out" and only had a 1/2 bag left that obviously were not fresh. My "meal" cost me $50 and over half of it was discarded. I should have known something was weird when he said the cook was making deliveries, and it would take 1/2 hour to get our food, There wasn't a soul in the restaurant either when ordering or picking up. Had to order in person, because no one would answer the phone, and and the phone transfered to a line that was full and couldn't accept messages. Overall, not a...
Read moreIf this was the “Emperor’s Kitchen”, I would hate to see what feudal servants ate in China. I now know why we were the only people in the restaurant on a Friday night at 6pm.
To start, we were served water with ice that had frozen contaminants and particulate in it that was melting into the water. Absolutely disgusting. We had the option of bottled water or water without ice. I chose bottled water.
The food was meh, nothing special and mostly boring. It was basically frozen Chinese food from a food service truck that had to be fried. Although I did have to roll the dice on whether I’d get food poisoning. The thing that tilted in my favor was the food was dunked in boiling grease. There were unidentified pieces of something on the plate, perhaps crumbs that have been over fried?
And the grand finale? No fortune cookies. Why? Because they were all stale. The waiter literally told us this. And the waiter, very poor and slow service. We saw him very few times and we had to constantly remind him of things we had asked for previously.
To be honest I’d rather eat a grocery store sandwich because I know I wouldn’t get...
