After I moved into Beach Park from Round Lake back in April '03, not that I was a complete stranger to this area but naturally I had to start exploring the area for the best pizza options.
Within a couple of months, Pizza House became one of my go-to places that I've been to quite a few times over the years whether dine-in or take-out.
I know I've read some reviews and heard it from other people that the customer service could be friendlier but I can't say I've really had any issues with it.
There's been a couple of times where it sounded like the guy was trying hard to get me off the phone but then again he could've been in the middle of making someone's pizza and didn't wanna fall behind and keep that customer waiting too long.
At that time I don't believe they had online ordering just yet which is always the best option for the employees rather than dealing with you on the phone.
Anyways, Pizza House makes a good quality pizza if not a bit pricy. I've noticed that these guys have always been a bit on the pricy side even before the COVID hit but the pizza IS quite good here and easily the best in Zion.
I've always tried my best to support local and I hope for continued boomin' business for...
Read moreMy family and I order at least twice a month from pizza house, my kids love their Italian beefs. Usually the service is exceptional and the order is correct. Tonight however, was a terrible experience. After picking up our order and driving home, I realized that they left several things out of the order. I'm actually not even upset about the order being incorrect, I'm upset with the rude customer service and how the situation was handled, after I called back to the restaurant. First off, I couldn't even get a complete sentence out of my mouth without the lady talking over me. Second off, you should never yell at the customer and ask "what would you like me to do?" and to find out this lady is the owner. I'm floored. I am not sure how you offer to send a driver with the missing items, and now 30 plus minutes later, still no missing items. I'm just going to assume you obviously don't value your customers or their business. I'll keep this in mind next time I spend my hard earned money. A simple sincere apology would have been sufficient, and maybe a "we'll credit you the next time you order?" personally there won't be another time. With behavior like that, I can find a different place to...
Read moreThis used to be the my go to pizza place. I'm not sure if the ownership changed or what caused the decline, but I never go back. I ordered a pizza for pick up and it was done in less that 30 min. Great! Unfortunately, when I got it home and opened it up, it wasn't right. Not sure if they gave me the wrong pizza or just messed up and swapped my green olives for green pepper (I hate green pepper). The real problem is how it was handled. I called immeadiately to point out the problem and was told they would make a new one if I drove back again. I asked them to deliver it since it was they're mistake. The person on the phone said he'd have to get the manager (who was busy) no problem, have him give me a call. 20 minutes later nothing, so I called back and he was still busy. He finally called back an hour after my initial call and wasn't willing to make a new pizza and deliver it. Everybody makes mistakes, but if you make it right you're a hero. No heros here. BTW the 14" pizza was around $35 and the icing on the cake is I included a $5 tip for a pizza that I picked...
