We were travelling around Uzbekistan. How lucky we were to discover the Fillet restaurant in Tashkent. We visit haute cuisine all over the world. But what we were offered here was simply outstanding. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The service was first class - attentive, friendly and professional without being intrusive. And the food - simply outstanding. Not overly flavoured, so that the good quality of the products really came to the fore. We also received excellent advice on wine. We drank a marvellous Uzbek wine. We were so impressed by the Fillet restaurant that we ate there again at the end of the tour. The good impression from the first time was confirmed in the best possible way. Read moreI got the Rib-eye steak and I can say that it's been one of the best meat meals of my life. The meat is fresh, fully local, organic and tastes amazing (In so many other countries, restaurants serve frozen imported meat).
I also got the Burrata (as an appetizer), a fantastic combination with avocado and fresh pear. Loved it (and I'm Italian, usually I tend to be very picky on Burrata 😋).
Service Is excellent, well trained and polite staff with great English.
The owner is a gentle and respectable man, who can give some great insights about their food and the way it's cooked.
The atmosphere is fresh and clean, with some delicate Jazz and Classic piano in the background (perfect for a date, a professional meeting or just a great night out 😉).
Overall, very impressed and content by the experience.

We each had a wonderful steak, we shared a bottle of Spanish red wine, we had two appetizers, two side dishes, and one dessert, and everything was absolutely wonderful and delicious! And the bill came to less than $100 US. The service was great, the ambiance was great, and they've only been in business for one year, but they're going to do great in the future.
