Qanotchi — Restaurant in Tashkent

I am writing in english so that others can also understand.

We booked a table via calling them, and got it confirmed. The next day, 2 hours before our reservation we got a call saying that they didnt have space and they made a mistake regarding our booking, and started coming with 3+ excuses as to how we wouldn’t get our table. We obviously didn’t believe a single word as they had already confirmed the table and the time and the date. We even went PHYSICALLY to pay the deposit (the deposit was payed). They also changed our table twice before, and then they decide to call us afterwards to tell us we dont get our table. We payed the deposit for a specific table as it was a special event. They refused to give us the table we payed for and gave us another table which is obviously not what we payed for at all. They made no effort in trying to give us a table similar to the one we payed for, and took no opportunity in correcting their mistake.They openly lied with no humility or remorse and kept saying that they got the date wrong and etc, when we had already confirmed everything with them physically.

This is a restaurant with horrible service and even worse telephone manners. Their integrity is non-existent.

If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Wouldn’t reccomend. If this is how they treat customers, I can’t even begin to imagine how their service manners would be. Integrity is important in restaurant services, but it is lacking in...

Hi everyone! This is my very first review. This restaurant is completely full of disappointments.

We went with my brother just to try new restaurant and I read some good reviews about this place wich called “Qanotchi” it translates to English probably as “wingy” or “wingman” its very unsual word for the restaurant name and maybe it has some metaphorical meaning but I don’t know, but anyways we went inside and sat and waiter came with menu and I said whats good on the menu he replayed our speciality is meats and point out the page with very very expensive slow cooked meat dishes and we decided to order slow cooked beef ribs and “salad capris” and bbq style veggies (both salads and side dish vegetables came up too small) we were so excited, we waited like 45 minutes and finally dishes arrived (big meat for like 3-4 person) first I tried salad not good for the price at all and then I tried meat, one bite and that’s it the meat was very tough to chew very chewy like chewing gum or cheap meat. And I immediately called waiter and said we are done can we get a check pls! Other guy seating next table to us laughed and said same here I don’t like the food too. And when he brought the check I saw 15% service fee included must pay for service on top of food price! I was so disappointed it’s rip off. Ok, the place is good I do recommend it, but there are some things you should be aware of.

1. they don't serve alcohol, so stake you will be eating wine free :(
2. for stake they use Russian Miratorg(marble beef), that is usually ok, but was denyed due to personal sanctions. Or local beef that is ok, but not great for stakes, atleast I definitely don't recommend it medium rare.
3. All tables outside were booked when I came, so probably it makes sense to book a table before comming.
4. service was good and fast except the stake which took a bit too long to cook, not a big deal. The important part that it was cooked right.

So my personal opinion is that this is a good place, if you don't need alcohol and don't expect superior stake, an sure that lamb here...
