Read moreArriving here was a bit strange I had to walk to the back of the restaurant and wait on a staff member to stop using the computer to ask about a table.
I was dining alone and there doesn't seem to be single tables. Anyway they said it was okay and I took the only table of four left. Staff seemed a bit rushed.
The menu isn't really set up for solo dining. There are appetizers and mains but no side dishes so you can't order a main curry and say a dhal or aloo etc. side. So there was no easy way to get extra vegetables.
I asked about this and she said they do small dishes but not on the English menu. She showed me some pics on her phone and I asked for a couple with my mains.
She came back a few mins and said kitchen was too busy so they couldn't do them for me.
Fair enough, but just emphasis solo dinners not really focussed on.
I had Chicken Jalfrezi, a cashew naan, and plain rice. Jalfrezi was okay. I asked for medium spicy, a lot more chilli's than the UK taste. The Naan was very thin and crispy a bit unusual.
I ate about half and left.
No one asked me if I wanted anything to drink, or asked if the meal was okay, or how it was when I was paying.
