I had the pleasure of meeting the founder of Hương Bia, Lợi, who shares the same passion for craft beer. Lợi, a friendly and enthusiastic individual, shared his journey of experimenting with brewing techniques. He recounted the numerous trials and errors, and even drinking failed batches of beer to perfect his recipes. His dedication and passion for making affordable, high-quality craft beer for Vietnamese people led to the birth of Hương Bia.

Huong Bia offers two signature craftbeers: Pale Ale and Stout. Personally, I am fond of the Pale Ale, which has a light, sweet, and aromatic finish that captures the essence of Da Nang and reflects the founder's character.

Got a few beers to taste, very nice red ale (which is not exactly the real red ale but I really loved the flavour, especially nut notes), and the green beer with green rice, that was a perfect match for me. I'm mostly into smoothies or sour craft beers so if you don't like traditional beer flavours that's definitely the best choice.
