LoCo Restaurant - Danang seafood restaurant - 다낭 레스토랑 — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

It's hard for me to leave a review like this, but eating here was just an awful experience. I don't know if it was an off night or what... But it was very bad.

First, I walk in the front door and it takes a long time for anyone to say anything before I just get pointed to the stairs without a word. I follow the stairs up to what must be the foreigner area or something...

It's Vietnam, so I'm not expecting first world cleanliness but the room was a complete mess. So much so that I immediately spot a roach crawling across the near wall. I try to put this out of my mind but he makes an appearance again later.

There was trash everywhere, including the floor. All surfaces were dirty including walls and tables. I'm from Detroit, so I've had my fair share of shady experiences so I'm not gonna cower quite yet.

I ordered the Japanese Beef from their special menu which looks like it should be, you know, "special." The menu clearly states it'll take over 20 minutes as it takes a while to prepare. No problem.

Just before my food comes out, Mr. Roach (or a different roach) decided to go crawl on the leg of the people across from me. They are visibly unhappy with his advances. They shoo him over in my direction and he is hiding somewhere under my table now. Their food comes right after and it looks like they were considering whether or not to eat for a minute or two before they went with it.

My food arrives after 30 minutes and it's straight up cold. The beef seemed to be good quality, I suppose. The meat also has a lot of sauce on it but there are no napkins.

The server nearby is very invested in his phone and I haven't seen anyone else for a long while, so I just decide that's gonna be that and power through it.

I truly dislike leaving reviews like this but it was just a bad experience all around and especially at higher end prices...

We were drawn to this restaurant by its good reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. While the food we did receive was tasty, the service was extremely slow and disorganised.

After waiting 90 minutes, we had only been served two bowls of chips, two plates of pork, and a plate of spring rolls—barely a third of what was ordered for a table of 12. When we politely raised this with the staff, we were told that we had “eaten too fast,” which was both inaccurate and dismissive, considering how little food had actually arrived.

We were also told they had larger lobsters available, but when served, the size was the same—if not smaller—than the initial one we received.

At the 110-minute mark, with still three dishes outstanding and no sign of them arriving, we had to ask for the bill and leave. There was no apology, no explanation for the delay, and certainly no goodwill gesture such as a discount.

Despite the restaurant’s good ratings, this experience left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, we won’t...

We entered and order our meals, myself a Japanese style steak and chips, my partner the garlic fried beef with side of fries.

5 minutes later we were told they had sold out of the garlic fried beef. So my partner changed her order to the steak mignon with fries. They they kicked up a fuss when we told them we now won’t need the side of fries as fries comes with both meals. They wouldn’t let us cancel so we tried to pay for the beers and just cancel. They said we couldn’t do that as my order was started as were the side of fries. Eventually they said they would cancel the fries and offered my partner her drink for free.

Her meal came out 15 minutes after mine and was definitely not Mignon steak. It was fatty and very underwhelming. I will say my food was very good.

However on leaving, the beer wasn’t taken off the bill like promised and we could not be bothered with another argument with them so left. Such a shame. The reviews, like many in Vietnam on Google...
