It shouldn’t take 20 minutes for one banh mi to go. Horrible business. Good banh mi that reminded me more of a hoagie/grinder with the amount of veggies they put in and the crunch of the bread. I ordered one banh mi cha without pate and peppers. 5 minutes later 2 korean girls walk in. How do they walk out with their order before me? I had to ask about mine before they prepared it. When the girl handed it to me I confirmed no pate and peppers right? She said yes. I leave and walked a minute from the restaurant and the kid chases after me and tells me it has pate. So I have to walk back and was not allowed to stand in front of the entrance. Takes another 5 minutes before they get my order right. I hate places like this and take and personally. There are plenty of other banh mi shops just as good if not better. Not to mention you have to walk deep into a dead end alley. I won’t be returning and don’t support bad business....
Read moreAfter a long time, I come back to Da Nang, the city I love. Today, I was very lucky to discover the Banh Mi Co Tien restaurant located in a small alley on Tran Phu street. The alley is small but the restaurant is very big, very beautiful and clean. I am very impressed with the decoration and arrangement of the restaurant.
The bread at the restaurant is beyond reproach, very high quality. From the decoration to the menu arrangement, it is very diverse and rich. The staff is very enthusiastic and friendly. I am most impressed with a friend named Huy. Huy is both handsome and enthusiastic. He always helps everyone with a smile on his lips. Huy is very good and speaks English very well.
I will introduce my friends and family when coming to Da Nang to visit the restaurant to eat the best bread and experience the best service here....

They also sell various kinds of coffee which pair very well. Entrance is a small alleyway, might be inconvenient for some especially with luggages.
However, if you are looking for authentic local banh mi this is probably not the place for you. It is definitely catered to tourists and is hugely popular among Koreans. Recipes feels like a really good sandwich at Subway Wait time can also be long - at least 20 minutes for any of the sandwiches which was a source of dissatisfaction for a lot of guests. Perhaps the breads are made on-demand but I have had great banhmis elsewhere that take a...
