Quê Xưa, located at 165-167 Núi Thành Street in Da Nang, is a popular and well-regarded restaurant that offers a delightful immersion into the authentic flavors of Central Vietnamese cuisine. Its name, "Quê Xưa," meaning "Old Countryside," perfectly reflects its commitment to traditional dishes and a charming, nostalgic ambiance.

The Heart of Central Vietnamese Cuisine Quê Xưa primarily focuses on two iconic Central Vietnamese specialties: Mì Quảng and Bánh Tráng Cuốn Thịt Heo.

Mì Quảng: This local noodle specialty features soft, fragrant flat rice noodles immersed in a rich, turmeric-yellow broth. Unlike typical noodle soups, Mì Quảng is served with just enough broth to lightly coat the noodles, creating a unique texture and flavor. Toppings are varied and can include shrimp, pork, chicken, fish, or frog, along with roasted peanuts, fresh herbs, and crispy grilled rice paper (bánh tráng). The broth is known for its deep, flavorful profile, often simmered for hours with bones.

Bánh Tráng Cuốn Thịt Heo (Boiled Pork Belly Wrapped in Rice Paper): This fresh and light dish consists of thinly sliced, tender boiled pork belly, which diners wrap in delicate rice paper along with an abundance of fresh herbs (like lettuce, cucumber, and green banana). The accompanying dipping sauce, mắm nêm, is crucial – a pungent yet incredibly flavorful fermented anchovy sauce that perfectly complements the pork and herbs.

The restaurant is praised for its meticulous preparation, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and flavors are well-balanced, bringing out the true essence of each dish.

Charming Ambiance and Warm Service Quê Xưa's ambiance is a key part of its appeal. The restaurant is designed with a traditional Hội An style, featuring a predominant yellow color scheme, moss-covered roofs, and hanging lanterns. Stepping inside, guests often feel transported to an ancient Vietnamese village, evoking a sense of warmth and nostalgia. The spacious, two-story layout allows for comfortable dining, even during busy periods.

Service at Quê Xưa is consistently described as enthusiastic and attentive. The staff are known for their warm hospitality and responsiveness, aiming to meet every customer's needs. This combination of delicious, authentic food, a charming traditional setting, and friendly service makes Quê Xưa a beloved destination for both locals and tourists looking to experience the true taste and...

Mỳ Quảng Quê Xưa is the kind of place that reminds you why central Vietnamese cuisine is so beloved—rustic, soulful, and packed with bold, honest flavor. While their Mỳ Quảng is the star of the menu, don’t sleep on their Bánh Tráng Cuốn Thịt Heo—it’s a must-try if you're after a true taste of the region.

The pork is sliced just right—tender, with the perfect fat-to-meat ratio—and served with fresh herbs, crunchy vegetables, and soft yet sturdy bánh tráng (rice paper) that makes rolling each bite a hands-on, satisfying experience. Dip it into the rich, fermented mắm nêm, and every bite lights up with salty, sour, sweet, and spicy notes that dance on your tongue.

The atmosphere at Quê Xưa is warm and unpretentious, like being invited to someone’s family table. It’s the kind of place where locals bring visiting friends, and where travelers get a genuine taste of Vietnamese hospitality.

My Quang Que Xua is a wonderful spot for a comforting bowl of noodle soup. The flavors were mild and gentle, but what made it even better was the option to adjust the spice to my liking. They served the spice separately, letting me customize the heat exactly how I wanted. The pork was incredibly tender and easy to eat, pairing beautifully with the smooth, well-cooked noodles. 🤤🤤

What truly stood out, though, was the kindness of the staff. They went out of their way to guide me on how to enjoy the dish properly—showing me how to roll the pork with different ingredients and adjust the spice to enhance the flavors. Their warmth and attentiveness made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for delicious food and genuine hospitality, My Quang Que Xua is a...

Walked by and saw lots of locals doing the same thing : rolling fresh spring roll. Curious about it and tried. The pork diy spring rolls set. To be honest, I didn’t even able to taste the pork but because there are layers of rice paper and veggies. The experience was very unique and it tasted very local. Nothing wrong, give it a try. Thanks for friendly and nice locals who taught me how to me how to properly roll the rice paper
