Came here late last night.
Very much enjoyed the food.
Ordered the (bestseller) butter paneer. It was different from what I expected, but very tasty. (At home butter dishes are very creamy and sweet, but this dish was rather spicy and not sweet at all.)
Also ordered the butter naan. I liked it, but if you are a naan connoisseur you might find it too chewy.
Received a complimentary pani puri. Not sure if the server wanted to introduce me to more tasty Indian food or if he was apologising for the people sitting next to me.
The table next to me was a group of Indian tourists and they were loud and rude. It seemed like they were on a power trip. They managed to complain about absolutely everything and almost all of it was unjustified.
Example #1 They ordered a round of pani puri and the child in their group asked for another round of pani puri, but also asked if they could make it less spicy. A new round of pani puri was served and they immediately started complaining it tasted “different” and “it was not spicy enough”. [Of course it is going to taste “different”, you asked for “less spicy” 😒]
Example #2 Upon arriving, you receive a (free) glass of water. Some people at their table ordered water and received a bottle of water. The woman, who was sat closest to me, did not order any water and received a (free) glass of water. She started making a scene about the different waters; why did she not receive a bottle of water; they should have given everyone a bottle of water etc. 😫
Example #3 A few other things they were complaining about the paneer was too sweet / the consistency was not right etc. [I had the paneer too and there was nothing wrong with it] the masala chai was not strong enough / they had not used enough tea leaves / the tea was too lightly coloured etc. [Again, I also had the masala chai and there was nothing wrong with it. The only thing that was different for me was that you had to add the sugar yourself. At home they always prepare it with sugar]
I do not know if the group will write a Google review. I hope they do not. If they do, I just wanted to point out that some people are absolute Karens (impossible to please / find a fault in everything). I had a lovely meal. The food was excellent. And, the service was great. I felt sorry for the servers who had to deal with the group. They were very patient even though they were treated so...

Maazi Indian Restaurant in Da Nang is a hidden gem that delivers not just delicious food but a complete cultural and culinary experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed, and everything from the ambiance to the aroma promised a great meal — and it exceeded all expectations!
The real star of our evening, however, was Suman. His hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care made our visit unforgettable. Suman wasn’t just serving food — he was creating an experience. He took time to understand our preferences, recommended the perfect dishes, and ensured that every little detail was taken care of. It’s rare to find someone so passionate and dedicated to making guests feel special. Suman truly sets the standard for top-class service.
As for the food — absolutely phenomenal! We tried a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and each one was packed with authentic Indian flavors. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, the tandoori items were perfectly grilled, the naan was soft and fresh, and the biryani was fragrant and flavorful. Every bite reminded us of home.
If you’re in Da Nang and craving authentic Indian cuisine served with heart, Maazi is the place to go. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Suman, you’re in for a five-star experience. We can’t...
Mazzi Indian Restaurant in Da Nang is a place with great potential. I must say that the food here is really delicious, with bold Indian flavors, each dish is perfect. The space is luxurious, cozy and impressive, making me expect to have a wonderful culinary experience. However, all of those bright spots were completely overshadowed by the staff's poor service attitude.
My lover and I came to the restaurant with excitement, but from the moment we entered, we clearly felt the lack of professionalism. The staff seemed indifferent, not paying much attention to domestic Vietnamese customers. I had to proactively call to be served, and even then, they just coldly brought the dish out and placed it on the table, without any advice or introduction about the dish. This is completely opposite to the way they serve Indian or foreign guests: warmly, enthusiastically, sometimes up to 3-4 people serving one table, smiling and chatting happily, constantly asking questions.
Looking at that scene, I couldn't help but feel that I was being discriminated against right in my own country. This is not only a matter of attitude but also a lack of respect for domestic customers. The restaurant is clearly paying too much attention to foreigners, overlooking Vietnamese guests - who should be appreciated more than anyone else, because they are the ones who contribute to maintaining the restaurant's business. on Vietnamese soil.
Really disappointed and depressed. If Mazzi wants to develop sustainably in Vietnam, they need to change right from the roots, which is their attitude and way of serving customers. Don't just focus on foreign guests and forget that Vietnamese guests also deserve to be treated fairly and respectfully. With the current service, I will definitely not come back and will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. A terrible experience that I think no one should have...
