edit Updated review – very disappointing
Sadly, my second visit was the complete opposite, uncomfortable, disrespectful, and upsetting.
I arrived ahead of my partner and TRIED to order 2 portions of the Sichuan chicken for both of us, just like we did before. But instead of simply taking my order, the staff member questioned me over and over: “Are you sure?”, “It’s a lot of food”, “How many friends are coming?”, and kept pressing despite me explaining that my partner was coming shortly.
She left without placing the order. When my partner arrived and confirmed the order again, she repeated that it was too much food. I was so frustrated I finally said, “Yes, I’m fat. What now?” only then did she stop and take the order.
It was completely unnecessary. I came in wanting to support this restaurant, and I even planned to recommend it on my food review YouTube channel. But after this experience, I honestly can’t recommend it or say I’d return.

AC & card payment available Just WOW amazing, authentic Chinese food! We tried so many dishes and loved them all. Everything was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. Most dishes are quite spicy, so if you’re sensitive to heat, it’s worth asking for less spice when you order. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving real Chinese cuisine! Definitely coming...
Read more川菜 or Sichuan cuisine is one of my favorite genres of cuisine. The main flavors are pungent, spicy, garlic and chili, with the addition of the Sichuan pepper, 花椒.
The hope with this restaurant was that I would get my Mala fix but unfortunately I was slightly disappointed.
Ordered the misappropriated xiao long bao (the version here is not a soup dumpling but a dry filing dumpling) and felt the filling to aspire but not fulfill the idea. A bit more heat from a seasoned pan might have given the bun some crispness, otherwise it’s nothing to write home about.
The dry pot chicken was well presented but similarly lacked the full flavor profile and most annoyingly had smashed chicken (similar to Da Nang fare) instead of distinct pieces of chicken thus leaving you in a minefield of bones that wreak havoc on dental work.
Would probably not go the chicken route if I ever come back but given other options, I think I would rather head to a higher end diner of the same genre and not risk my teeth!
I do thank the staff for asking for feedback at the payment point. I hope they one day get to visit Sichuan and learn from the wonders of this amazing...
Read moreAfter a few days having Vietnamese food around Da Nang, we decided to have a try in this Chinese restaurant, and it’s just being amazing! Fried drypot Shrimp is my favorite, it’s so fresh, crisp, tasty with different flavors all in once. (Sorry it’s not included in my photos.) Of course other dishes like the spicy fried dumplings and vegetables are delicious. The price is really good, even a bit low when you taking consideration of the taste. And the owner of the restaurant is just so kind and sweet, she provided a lot of travel tips around Da Nang and those tips are so helpful for us as tourists, making us feel so welcomed and grateful as international tourists to Da Dang.
If you are staying in Danang for a few days and seeking for some food apart from Vietnamese food, I would highly recommend taking a visit at this restaurant. As a native Chinese, I would say this restaurant is not only a good choice as Chinese cuisine in Da Dang, but also better than most of the Chinese restaurants back in the mainland of China, so please don’t miss it. You won’t be...
