Quaint little coffee shop down an alley within the city of Da Nang. The most beautiful staff here that provide truly exceptional, welcoming service - immediately cleaning up tables to keep a pristine atmosphere and have tables readily available at this very popular cafe.
When we arrived nearly all seats taken proving its popularity. Such unique decoration, with every nook and cranny filled with antique and local memorabilia. 2 levels for customers, with something in every corner to admire. Calm and peaceful atmosphere, a great place to spend enjoying their coffee.
For the coffee itself, we ordered Coconut Coffee, Peanut Coffee and Egg Coffee. Coconut coffee was large, sweeter than most with the coffee flavour being slightly overpowered.
Peanut coffee had the distinct peanut flavouring, combined with a robust coffee flavour. This peanut coffee waxy he best I’ve had in Da Nang, though for the taste itself I’d prefer other coffee specialities available. Being one of their signature drinks it was definitely worth trying.
As others have mentioned, the Egg Coffee definitely reflected what is served in Hanoi with its distinct bitter coffee flavour topped with egg cream. I do like my egg cream sweeter than what is served here to take away a little more of the bitterness. But overall a very authentic egg coffee honouring its origins.
This coffee shop is a must visit just for its ambience and vintage...
Read moreNAM house cafe in Da Nang. This may be my favourite cafe in Asia/ maybe hyperbole but even up there in terms of best cafe in the world in my humble opinion.
There was something so nice and peaceful about sitting in this cafe. Admittedly, I was travelling and had no where to be at all. I did feel like I could sit upstairs smoke cigarettes and drink either cafe de sua (filter with condensed milk) or salted coffee for hours.
I loved the fit out, seemed like a beautiful old building and lovely finishings with decoration. Open upstairs and relaxed seating with fans to cool.
The staff were nice and friendly also. Not many tourists in here seemed like mostly locals.
This was also a very very well priced coffee around 20k VD which is about $1AUD.
All in all I will be thinking about this coffee shop for many years to come and look forward to hopefully returning one...
Read moreNAM house cafe is the very definition of cozy cafe. What looks small is spacious with the different floors that offers amazing decorative and comfy vibes.
We arrived to Da Nang to view the Dragon Bridge spectical show and stop here on the way. It did not dissapooint us at all, we were so happy to have make a quick stop here.
I got the egg coffee, and was surprised but just how good it was! The coffee was nice and strong, and the sweet egg really shined through as well. If you order in, your drink will come in super cute mug.
It was surprisingly not so busy on a friday evening, but for good reason. We'll definitely be back on our next...
