Sarah Halal, Đà Lạt – A Warm Muslim-Friendly Haven in the Highlands 🌸
Nestled quietly along Nguyễn Văn Cừ, P1 Đà Lạt, Sarah Halal feels like a comforting stop for travellers looking for authentic halal-friendly Vietnamese flavours in the cool highland air.
✅ What I Tried:
Phở Bò Thố Đá (75,000₫)
Served piping hot in a stone bowl, the broth was fragrant and rich, perfect for the chilly Da Lat weather.
Tôm Chiên Xù (135,000₫)
Crispy fried prawns, light yet flavorful. A bit pricier but fresh.
Cơm Xèo Bò Nấm (95,000₫)
Stir-fried beef with mushrooms over rice, savoury and hearty.
Đá Chanh (35,000₫) + Trà Đào (45,000₫)
Refreshing drinks that balance the meal.
💰 Total: 385,000₫ (~RM75) for a filling, well-portioned dinner for two.
✅ Atmosphere:
Simple, clean, family-friendly. You’ll feel welcome even as a solo traveller or with family.
Staff were polite and understood basic English, which helps a lot for Muslim tourists.
Menu is in trilingual - Vietnamese, English and Malay.
✅ Why it’s good for Muslim travellers:
100% halal-certified ingredients
No alcohol served
A safe choice if you’re craving local Vietnamese-style meals without worrying about hidden non-halal is components.
🌟 Verdict: Sarah Halal is one of the few halal-friendly gems in Đà Lạt, great for a warm meal after exploring the flower gardens or the lake. It’s a little more expensive than street food, but worth it for the peace of mind...
Read moreHI, I went to this restaurant twice as I had greatexperience during the first visit. It located in front of busy road and it is nearby the Dalat night market, about 350meter.
During first time, I arrived at 9pm+ and they still open but need to eat at level 2 because they already clean up the first floor.
I ordered nasi ayam claypot and it was tasty. Also, the hot tea is delicious. My friendordered hot pot set and they like it very much. they said the soup taste like ‘asam pedas’ .
The waiting time is not too long, unlike other restaurant they make uswait for 1 hour for roti canai. I think they will serve food once all food you ordered is ready, not send one by one. So if they missed out 1 order, you needto ask them because they might forgot to write it when you ordered.
Oh ya, we also ordered the Vietnamese rolls, the sauce not thick as the one I ate in hochi minh. The price was normal, not too cheap and too expensive.
The ambience was great, this restaurant has 3 floor, they have big space for...
Read moreMy wife and I were very excited to find halal food in DaLat but when we went it was a very bad experience.
They up charged us by a lot. It was 500,000 dong for 2 orders chicken, tofu, and 2 soft drinks. I think they have separate menu for local and foreign?
The ayam sambal had good flavor but the ayam goreng had no flavor at all. The chicken was not whole pieces of chicken but fried chicken scraps. I expected thigh or breast but received many small pieces of random parts of chicken scraps which were very dry and not fresh. When I order chicken, I expected a real piece of chicken not a plate of bone scraps with little meat on it.
500,000 for the scraps of chicken is so rude and disrespectful. It’s disappointing that they overcharge fellow Muslims and serve food which should be for dogs.
I can assume they have a different price menu for foreigners because the prices here are extremely high and the chicken is that which you should...
