An CaFe Global — Restaurant in Da Lat City

I love the location...Love it, the way the different levels have a garden feel, both above and below the city streets. Inside is cozy warm and clean, outside dining are benches, chairs, or garden swings. It's really an exquisite look and feel. 6Stars

You place an order at the counter, which is fine, except the lines can be long. We arrived at 11 am and long line (it happens). We decided to sit and wait to order. Someone came by and took our order, and told us it would be an hour before our food came. The outside dining was barely half full, and inside was empty, except for one table. This leads me to believe they have a very small kitchen or a large order (perhaps) takeaway had come in before us. We decided to stay. They brought our coffee and a small cookie for the wait. Which I thought was nice. It stared to rain so we moved inside. Another staff member approached us and said that all orders are delayed by ten minutes. 5 minutes later, we were served breakfast. The food. The breakfast is limited. Don't expect much. It's a lovely presentation, but the scrambled eggs are heavily salted or the cheese they use is. The oil used is not clean or added to, instead leaning after use. Because everything tasted burnt oil. Except for the scrambled eggs. The price was extremely affordable, and unfortunately, the quality of breakfast reflected that. The one person who seemed to have knowledge of service was the manager who instantly reacted when my wife dropped her knife. Everyone else just seemed to be waiting to be instructed what to do.

To the owner/manager : As a tourist who would order an English or American style breakfast. I would happily pay double for a quality breakfast experience.

To the reader of this review. This restaurant does not specialize in American or English breakfast. So, this review should not reflect the majority of their food items. It only reflects our breakfast and my observation of the staff performance and atmosphere. I added a star for location and atmosphere. A wonderful evening return after ten months to An CaFe noticing a new menu at the same competitive price range. No mistakes were find out in the service quality. Enjoyable again ! 5*

Back to Dalat in 15 days before the Lunar Calendar's New Year called "Tết" in Vietnam, a festive decoration of An CaFe is a lovely surprise for visitors, and for foreign tourist is really spectacular seeing a motive of Dragon, rice and peach flowers and lot of fresh flowers, too. Believe no disappointment for any TẾT goers visiting An CaFe _ January 26, 2024.

Sophisticated fine decoration in An CaFe for coming up X-mas and New Year in December 2023, with a notable new 3 dishes for the meat lovers, especially a Pork Schnitzel with home made sauce was excellent 🎄

This early November visit in An CaFe brought me a pleasant surprise with new daily fresh items in the menu - like a mix fruit youghurt and coconut milk coffee, while the shop is keeping a same overgreen full of flowers decoration and maintain a very friendly staff service also lovely background music! Truly unique cafe in Da Lat. Beautiful design, decor, and view. A lot of green plants, wooden tables, and relaxing music. A great place for western style breakfast or brunch. I tried the avocado toast with eggs and cheese and it was excellent. Latte was also good. Staff working are young and pleasant to speak to. However, I want to provide feedback that will help improve service. The ordering system can be improved. Signs direct customers to order at the counter, which is totally fine. At the counter, staff directed me to scan 2 bar codes, one for drinks and another for food (how can I use 2 codes? Why not just 1?). The bar codes lead to a website with menus in a very small font that keep scrolling automatically !!!! It was hard for me to read. I got frustrated after a few minutes of trying and was almost going to leave. I asked if I must leave the order through my smart phone. The staff member said that I tell them the order that I want. He also showed me a paper menu with the same items as online. Why do you ask customers to use a bar code then place the order verbally? Why not just do the whole process online with an improved user interface and large enough fonts, non automatically scrolling menus?? Vietnam now has great software industry. You can find a contractor to do a better job at your ordering process. I am ok to have it all in person, or all online, but having the menu online and unreadable, then order in person is frustrating.
