We came here based on the reviews here on google but frankly, we were quite disappointed. The menu is just okay, compared to other menus in town. I made a wrong choice of dish (the seaweed, carrot and mushroom soup was very bland and tasteless, for 55k). I asked if i could change it for something else with the translator and they said i could. I ordered a different dish, but then what i believe was the manager (she didnt introduce herself) came to ask me what was wrong and that i couldnt change my dish. She said the mushrooms were ‘very special’ and thats why the soup cost so much. She also said because they dont use MSG or artificial flavours the bland taste is normal for that soup. Overall, it was just ‘okay’ food. The experience with the staff was quite negative, but leaving that aside, the bottom line is that there’s many other places in town that are cheaper...
Read moreA little slice of vegetarian culinary heaven!!! (I think all vegan except for one clearly marked real egg omlette dish?)
I had the lotus root salad and cao lầu noodles (former was great, the latter was off the charts good!)
Came back the next day for breakfast, had the vegan tofu scramble (so much umami! I'm a spice addict and i could eat it without hotsauce!!!) and my gf had the mushroom congee (also excellent!)
This is the kind of place where you can tell that everything on the menu has been thoroughly thought through and meticulously made into its vegan platonic ideal, so you can be confident everything on the menu will be awesome!
Lovely people, beautiful space!

Not only was it the best food I’ve had in Vietnam and possibly my entire 12 week trip through Southeast Asia so far—we liked the food so much that we ordered 4 dishes, finished them, and promptly ordered 3 more. Through her restaurant, she was able to make something beautiful out of tragedy and I was so touched to hear her story. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Hoi an!
Also, I still dream about the Japanese pancake. We ordered it twice in...
