B’s Snack Bar, just outside the bustling Old Town of Hoi An, is worth visiting for those looking to escape the tourist-heavy center while still enjoying authentic, flavourful Vietnamese food along with some well-executed cocktails. The vibe at B’s is undeniably cool, marked by its courtyard dining and eclectic decor, creating a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere.
The food at B’s is a standout (and the music is pretty good too), with the menu including a range of local dishes (and a few western snacks) that are both vibrant and richly flavoured. The chicken pho is aromatic and delicious, with a tasty broth that must have been simmering for hours. The banh xeo (crispy pancake) is another must-try, as is the Green Mango Salad and the Spring Rolls (fresh and fried)
Service at B’s Snack Bar is incredible with a warm welcome by B who is so engaging and willing to share recommendations and ensure the most pleasant dining experience. Prices are so reasonable, particularly given the quality and portion sizes, making B’s an excellent spot for both casual diners and anyone wanting to grab a cocktail or beer.
Having visited many times over the last 10 days I’d have to say B’s Snack Bar is now on my list of favourites. It’s fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy great food in a very relaxed setting, making it a worthy detour from the well-trodden paths of Hoi...
Read moreFor a small, quaint restaurant (5x tables; suited for 1 or 2 people per table at the front section, plus there's also a section at the rear which looks very nice), the food and service are fantastic, and the prices are fairly cheap too. Two of the loveliest, friendliest, and sweetest Vietnamese girls do both the cooking and serving....and all ordered was delicious, served promptly, and of a good quality. I had Banh Xeo (soft version) that comes with the dry rice paper version (ie. you need to moisten the paper for it to become pliable/rollable with the bowl of water provided....not a finger bowl 🤣🤣)), Braised Chicken with Ginger, and the Sweet Banana Coconut Soup for dessert. No complaints for any of it...all thoroughly delicious for a total of 190,000VND. I also had a Strawberry Smoothie and a Pina Colada, which were both OK. They even let me dine inside with my little pet dog. (NB; For those that despise Coriander [like me], beware that the Banh Xeo greens come with it...so ask for the Devil's herb to be omitted - i didn' trealise this, but it was easily temoved and quarantined...
Read moreWe just moved to Hoi An and B's Snack Bar is such a treasure! We are so happy to have this wonderful place right around the corner. Very nicely decorated with natural bamboo, it also has a hidden green garden that adds a touch of tropical atmosphere for those who need a break from the noise of the street. The owner is very friendly and very welcoming. Great variety of dishes, all freshly prepared with care and love. They are so good! So far we have tried the fish and vegetable spring rolls, seafood fried rice, bánh xèo, summer salad and skirt steak sandwich and they were all absolutely delicious. In addition to cocktails, they also make smoothies, fruit juices (pineapple, guava etc.) and we have discovered one of our daily favorites... fresh coconut! If you want to treat yourself, their coconut coffee is a must!
Make sure to stop by because it is...
