Âme Café & Brunch — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I’ve visited this coffee shop many times in the past and always had a good experience. However, this time was unexpectedly disappointing. I’m not sure if they’ve changed the owner or staff, but here’s what happened: I booked a table for 5 people but arrived with 4. They arranged a table with 8 chairs for us, which was unnecessarily large, even though a 5-seat table was still available. Despite my request, they did not allow us to sit there. The staff provided only one menu for our group of four, which made ordering inconvenient. The lights were off, making the place very dark. When I asked about it, the staff said the lights were automated and could not be turned on! I requested to meet the manager or owner, but the staff didn’t call anyone, and no one came to address my concerns.

With its Instagrammable décor style, I thought this place would have been busier, filled with young people taking photos. But to my surprise, it was very quiet on a weekend morning. Every corner is thoughtfully decorated, create a cosy atmosphere, not clutter, perfect for those who like the coquette, cottage aesthetic. The highlight is the front balcony with a stunning view directly onto a lush green carpet of grass. The drink selection is impressive, featuring creative options like my pink guava ice blended with sugarcane juice, a visually appealing drink with a decent flavour. A lovely place with good atmosphere for either a coffee date, hangout with friends, working or even a dinner date. Food and drinks are vary however I didn’t see the alcohol options. The place smells like a dream, even their restroom is so clean and smells good too. They have 2 balconies for both front and back with good views. It might be a bit hot during day time but gets better at night. The staff are sooo gentle and attentive and very sweet. I can tell from the details the owner puts a lot of love and effort into this place. This is definitely my favorite cafe in this area and I will be a regular guest in the...
