Beanthere Café II - Hoàng Sa — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

After a long search in the morning and a couple of “Closed” signs, I ended up going to Beanthere Café. The space has a vintage, slightly Victorian charm spread over three large floors both indoors and outdoors. It was humid as usual so indoors it was.

That said, it’s not exactly the place I’d choose to work from. Between the background chatter, music, and coffee machines, it’s more of a “soak in the atmosphere” type of spot than a focus zone.

The group of 7 searched for this place because of good reviews. We were the first customers and ordered were taken. After waited for 20 mins, some of the orders came but left 2 omelets. We kept asking the waitress, she kept saying is on the way. We saw the waitress sent orders to the customers who came much later than us. After an hour of waiting, we asked the waitress again, she said we came later…gosh, we were the first to arrive!! I told them to check the timing of order, finally they admitted their neglect. We have waited for more than an hour for 2 missed omelets. Do check your order from time to time because they would ignore you even though you have been in the cafe for so long. The...

The only kind of bad experience I got was the parking which is fairly pricey compare to other places. However it wasn't the price that I had problem with, it was the lady who watched the bikes did. She was purposely did not give me.change. I mean if they said it's 10k, I paid 10k without a problem, just don't say 7 and then not give back the change, I felted cheated.

Other than that, I was surprised to.find such big, quite and beautiful place like this in district 1. I already went back with my other friends, it 'll be my regular place. Haven't tried the foods but drinks were ok. Maybe I'll come for...
