Fire alarm went off, manager looking guy came out to apologise to a table of white people, korean, and ignored the others. Poor etiquette. Would rather they not apologise at all if there was differed treatments. Server rushed off halfway while ordering without saying anything. Confusing menu, told to order from recommended menu as some dim sums were unavailable, yet other menus were available on the online menu. Had to keep switching between the two as the recommended doesnt show half duck (2 people) either. Forgot about our tables drink and served another table that ordered later first. Only served our drinks 3 minutes later after we asked. Was seated at a table that had spilled sauce, cleaned it with our own wet tissue. Generally, i think they have subpar SOP (standard of operation). Stuff looked so busy when the restaurant was only 50% full. Poor...
Read moreLocated in the busy Xuan Thuy street near the river end, this is like a sanctuary of great food and design. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a modern Chinese aesthetic, and the service is impeccable. The menu features a wide variety of dim sum, noodles, and other Cantonese dishes. Everything we tried was delicious, and the portions were generous. The highlight was the Peking duck, which was crispy and flavorful. We also enjoyed the xiao long bao and the stir-fried beef with black pepper sauce. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth it. Overall, Crystal Jade Palace Xuan Thuy Thao Dien is a fantastic restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and luxurious dining experience in Ho...
Read moreIt was good, but could have been great. Couple of negative things: waitress, do not take a private phone call when you're taking an order from paying customers, that is not good service. Do not advertise some of the vegetable dishes as "assorted vegetables" and then ask me which single vegetable I want for the dish!!
The duck pancakes with hoisin were very good, but the duck itself served separately was just average at best.
The beef dish with vegetables was good apart from the beef. It was tough as old boots and very disappointing.
The mushroom dish was really good, flavourful and interesting.
Desserts were sweet, but overall a good flavour.
The tea was great, highly recommended.
Overall a good experience that could have been great with better attention to detail...
