Exceptional Food, Perfect Views, and Truly Gracious Service at Hoshiyo Dining Hoshiyo Dining isn't just a meal; it's a complete experience that impresses on every level. We were assessing the restaurant for my daughter's 16th birthday, so our first visit was a trial dinner. We were so impressed that we returned for her actual birthday celebration with her friends. On both occasions, we were blown away by the perfect combination of high-quality food, stunning ambiance, and outstanding service. First, the food. While the prices might be a bit on the high side, I can confidently say it is worth every penny. The quality was exceptional, and you can taste the care and craft that goes into each dish. What goes perfectly with good food is the ambiance, and this place did not disappoint at all. We were treated to a perfect, sweeping view of the Ho Chi Minh City night scape. Seeing the Landmark tower shining against the skyline was like having a beautiful live wallpaper for our dinner. Most importantly, the staff truly made the evening special. They were incredibly accommodating and demonstrated the real essence of service. We had a moment where my son's dish was not quite up to expectations, and the team handled it with pure professionalism. They took the feedback well and graciously provided an on-the-house dessert for him, which was a very thoughtful touch. A special shoutout must go to the manager, Steven (Huynh Le Nguyen), for his gracious service and for leading such an impressive team. Hoshiyo Dining gets a top...
Read moreExcellent staff and below average food, I thought it would be mostly about the photos and views, and I was right. The food was crap but edible due to the ingredients being decent quality.
Edit: after some reflection I felt it was helpful to mention that it would be an improvement to add more thought into the serving of the dishes, i think fewer dishes should be brought out at once especially the hot dishes, the place is well air conditioned(good thing) and this means food will go from hot to cold very quickly, the food is already not good but once its gone cold its borderline dog food. The modus operandi is to obviously try and rush people in order to move other guests to the nicer table.
Steak also had a lot of gristle which should be removed by the chef. If the execution of food is refined then it would be just about mediocre. I think the high number of 5 star reviews is misleading as guests are asked to give a review so staff can take a photo which creates a bias scenario as guests would not he comfortable giving their honest opinion in the moment.
Overall don’t come here if food and flavor is your priority, there are much better restaurants at the same price scale. This place is more of a vibey restaurant for pics, social media and special occasions. Lots of try hards and socialites too. DONT BELIEVE...

If you’re hoping for a nice view, prepare to pay for it. A good view seat will cost you 1,500,000 VND per person, and even a “semi good view” seat is 1,200,000 VND per person.
Unfortunately, the food doesn’t justify the cost for a good view. Everything looks better on camera than it tastes. The dishes came out fast, but the quality was very disappointing. The aburi nigiri’s were basic, wagyu nigiri was tough and chewy, otoro (tuna belly) was surprisingly rubbery, and even the salmon nigiri was just average. The peanut dessert lacked any real peanut flavor and felt it was an empty outer shell with no depth of taste.
The entire place feels more like a stage for influencers (eg. Instagram/Tik Tok) than a restaurant. Everywhere you look, people are filming, yelling, and taking endless photos while barely touching their food at all. The atmosphere is chaotic and distracting — definitely not for anyone seeking a genuine dining and high quality food experience.
If you’re after quality Japanese cuisine, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This spot is all Instagram and no substance.
