Edited (7/12) to response to Owner's comment, initial review can be scrolled below:

Hi Le,

Thank you for getting back to me. The visit was on 16 October around 11.30am. If there is any CCTV camera in the premises, perhaps you can double check? I have also attached a screenshot of the photo i took from my phone (you can see the date/time stamp - 16 Oct 11.55am)

Being in the service industry myself for about 20 years, i usually have more tolerance in a lot of things. Unfortunately my experience was not one of it. And usually as a service provider, i'm not sure how it would make customers feel when the owner started a response by accusing the reviewer, "You must have mistaken with another restaurant or someone else" - just saying.

The other restaurant i mentioned below was District Federal which i visited couple of times in the past. Running out of soap is normal and i did inform the staff (and by the way it was not yet refilled by the time i left the restaurant, that i have to use my own hand sanitiser).

My feedback was purely based on the actual experience i had on 16 October at My Hanoi Kitchen.

** (initial review)

Food was just "ok", but the lady owner was very UNwelcoming. Came to this place last month, received a rather shocking treatment.

Despite there was NO hand sanitising station, NO signs of hand washing station, and NO staff wearing masks, i was barely sitting on my table when the owner (who never said hi/any form of welcome) told her staff to instruct me to wash my hands. By the way, i always carry my own hand sanitiser and also pure alcohol spray, but as i said, i was barely sitting when the staff "welcomed" me with this. May i also say, that the same owner has another restaurant nearby, which i visited couple of times - and during that couple of times, during my 2 visits they didn't have soap in their restroom :)

The modest Pho diner next to this place was more basic, but at least i never received such a...

Guys! I’ve tried food here and as a Vietnamese, the price here is overpriced even I well understand the location in D2 is quite rare and expensive. With the same price, I’d like to recommend you to try other restaurants in D1, D3 with larger space and and even more fancy decorations or even in D2-same area. That time I ignored my experiences and didn’t leave comments.

The reason why I rate 1 star Because my friend just had imperfect experiences here with 3 stars. She was commenting about the food is overpriced and expectibg for something better. . We are not low budget. But it’s obviously we are Vietnamese, we can judge the taste and price in honest and fair compared to the marketplace.

An open mindset will appreciate that and will find the way to improve their food/services. But we actually receive a slap in our faces, that we were told to stay at home instead of ordering their food :)

Whenever they got lower rate, frankly saying, the owner doesn’t have customer service skills and in fact, the attitude is so disrespectful . All I’ve found she often strongly and offensively react to the clients.

Maybe their target clients are expats. So telling you guys, you’re overcharged and being fooled by a fake attitude.

Inbox me, you can have better recommendations for Hanoi Food in different rates. Fancy and local style.

Dear Owner, you cant bring Hanoi attitude to do business in Saigond land. You serve food and survive by client money. Dont play like a life giver. Or hang on the signboard “ Cannot accept lower rate” in front of...

I've had My Hanoi Kitchen on my radar for months and last night, I finally dined there. No question, it will be my "go-to" place for Vietnamese cuisine. The owner Le was there and she recommended the Bun Cha Hanoi and I sampled two of the fresh spring rolls. The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is down an alley and it's cozy, charming, and interesting all at once because Le has various artifacts from her youth, on display. You can dine inside or out in front. Le's stories of growing up in Hanoi during the 70s was fascinating. She is such a delight. There are other dishes I can't wait to try and the prices are a steal! Show Le some love and stop by. You...

highly recommended! Authentic Vietnamese food!!! the vibe was amazing! and look at the pictures, how they pair the colors, it’s super beautiful! and, they have tasting menu, you can pay something like less than $15 to get 6 different dishes that allows you to try different things without overordering. the grilled fish dish, my husband loved it a lot !! and the resturant is located inside a really quiet lane, it’s clean, and quiet. love it!
