Poulet Việt Nam Crescent Mall — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Apparently, this place gets worse and worse. The main branch in Crescent Mall is so much better. On its opening, we thought it was just at that time but it seems the roasted chicken quality, which is their signature, doesn’t taste that special anymore. We took the roasted chicken in creamy mushroom sauce BUT YUCK! The sauce wasn’t at all a roasted chicken sauce but a pasta sauce. You could tell by first look of the runny white sauce that they only use cream and added mushrooms (which were left in huge pieces) instead of the thickened mushroom juice with added cream. It feels like eating a chicken on a creamer. This time, the way they roasted their chicken isn’t really flavourful and juicy inside. There was nothing appealing and appetising about it at all. It’s very basic as if eating a regular chicken on random Vietnamese street stalls. The sides were very good just like before. Service is very slow. Expect a waiting time of almost an hour before getting your foods and after you eat, you’ll absolutely have to get your way to the counter if you don’t wanna wait until tomorrow. Upon getting in and sitting on the table, no proper setup, just like a fastfood chain. No napkins, nothing. Juices are too basic and cheap looking. In general, there’s absolutely no effort to upscale this place compared to the prices of their foods. They have good variety of foods but expect small portions. I don’t think it’s a good...

On the occasion of Liberation Day, our company had lunch here, cuz' we knew this Poulet in Singapore and decided to try the first outlet in Viet Nam I guess. I made reservation. We were warmly greeted at the reception and shown to our table, great service. We tried Trio Crostini, Curry Beef Meet Baguette, Roast half Chicken with Black Pepper and Mushroom cream sauce (it served with 2 sides), Shrimp Aglio Olio and Rice (I forgot a name of dish, check my picture). apparently the grilled chicken is good - everyone says so! all my mates loved it! me, however, was fully focused on the pop pie! slowcooked oxtail goodness! this was amazing!

service however was a bit here and there... overall service was a bit slow and they even got one of our orders wrong... however in their defence, i accidentally knocked over my drink and they instantly cleaned up and gave me a new drink at no additional cost! so initially i would have given them a 2star for service but they redeemed...
