Elegant Restaurant — Restaurant in Hue City

Warm welcoming from all staff, friendly, polite with hospitality and service minded staff. All staff treated me equally compared to my Western partner. I appreciated that so much. That made myself feel pretty comfortable all the time while having dinner. The dinner we had were so delicious. Thus, these were reasons why we had returned again one more evening before we left Hue. Nevertheless, they were very kind offering us a free dish of fried banana pancack topped with honey as a desert for our second return. I'm very please to recommend all visitor to visit this Elegant Restaurant whenever you have a chance visiting to Hue, Vietnam. Thank you so much to all staff. The good first: service was excellent with friendly staff and the setting is pretty nice as well.

However, we all (two Vietnamese and one foreigner) agreed that the food was not as good as the service. We had three different dishes and none of them tasted really like Vietnamese food. The chicken with 5 spices was more of a Chinese dish and too heavy on the 5-spice with very dry, overcooked and tasteless meat.The sauce with the beef was also quite strange and of an almost jelly-like consistence. The best dish was the squid with satay sauce. Again, I did not care for the sauce much but the squid was tender and tasty.

I was happy I stumbled onto this restaurant as I was walking back to my hotel. I was struggling to find things to eat in Vietnam as a very picky eater. I was looking for something basic but tasty and filling. I went with the baked toast w garlic and butter and spaghetty bolognese. I was very happy with my choice.
