Food poisoning. My father and I shared the chicken and two hours later we were both vomiting and more (just imagine the worst). This kept us up all night and my father had to be put on a saline and paracetamol drip. I am writing this the following morning feeling incredibly weak having lost all the food I ate yesterday. Well... at least the service came with a smile.
UPDATE: Thank you for your reply. We received two chicken dishes. It was the second dish which my father and I shared that caused us terrible sickness. My mother had the other dish and she suffered bad diarrhoea the next day, which suggests a general uncleanliness in the kitchen. It was definitely your food because I felt immediate discomfort on the walk home - and your meal was my first food since breakfast. I suggest that you examine your practices for storing raw meats and fish, the fridge and freezer temperatures are monitored daily and that staff are regularly trained on general...
Read moreWe spent four nights in Hue and ended up eating at this spot three times... it was that good! The location is perfect, right on walking street and just a short stroll from our hotel. The management and staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home.
We sampled a variety of dishes including, pizza, oysters, a chocolate shake, and an absolutely amazing mango seafood salad. Everything was fresh and flavorful. One evening, the chef set up a salmon presentation right on the sidewalk, complete with a special salmon menu. If you ordered salmon, it was prepared fresh right before your eyes. The salmon sashimi was some of the best we’ve ever had, delicate, buttery, and beautifully presented.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the relaxed atmosphere. This place became a highlight of our trip, and we’re already looking forward to going back next time...

It seems to me that we weren’t lucky that night… Instead of facing each other, they faced our table with their feet almost touching our seats and us because our table was on a lower level and placed on the sidewalk. At the end of the day, the man was putting his feet (with shoes on) on our bench. To me, this is an extremely rude action.
When I told him to remove his feet, he started telling me about my smoking! We were outside and in Vietnam. I had an ashtray on my table and they arrived later. Why in the world would people stop somewhere where others are smoking when they don’t like the smoke??
Anyway, this wasn’t about the restaurant but about what comes to it sometimes. Good luck to all of us in this...
