Sala Huế - Nhà hàng Chay — Restaurant in Hue City

My recent visit to the mentioned restaurant left me with a rather disappointing experience. While the ambiance and setting were pleasant, the service left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we found ourselves initially struggling to decipher the menu. However, what truly soured our experience was the impatience and lack of courtesy displayed by the attendant. Despite our attempts to engage and seek clarification on the menu items, we were met with dismissive gestures and a complete lack of assistance. Despite our best efforts to place an order, it seemed that several menu items we were interested in were unavailable. Instead of receiving helpful suggestions or alternatives, we felt nudged towards a specific dish that didn't align with our preferences. Eventually, feeling somewhat discouraged, we settled on ordering a yogurt just to have something, but even this simple request went unfulfilled. What added to our bewilderment was observing other customers, being promptly served with their orders, even though they arrived after us. While I understand that service discrepancies can occur, this stark contrast in treatment left us feeling overlooked and undervalued as customers. This particular experience fell short of expectations. However, I share this feedback not out of spite but in the hope that it prompts reflection and improvement. I chose this restaurant because it was near my hotel on a very wet evening and because it was well reviewed, it’s obviously a favorite of the Hue locals as it was very busy . I couldn’t read the menu but they helped me choose … nice dishes .. I chose tomato and Tofu and others that I don’t know the name of , )pictures attached )which seemingly is the most popular.. the dishes were served immediately and were all very tasty. Well priced too but they don’t serve beer unfortunately.. good...

Sat down and got our menus. The moment we pulled our phone out so we can get a translation of what we wanted, the lady tried to sell us the most expensive thing on the menu which was a hotpot for 150k minimum. We showed we wanted something else but she said "we dont have"...people behind us had rice and pho and such so that was obviously a lie (they were locals of course). She was getting mad when we said no to the hot pot so she took our menus and said bye bye and literally...
