Home Hanoi, what a beautiful restaurant with fantastic food, decor and ambience. The house is beautifully decorated and the design of the furniture and plates really suites the overall vibe of the restaurant. Chill with a level of rustic elegance.

Overall, this place deserves a whopping 10/10 as it has dishes I will definitely come back for again and I highly recommend you to try this restaurant if you are ever in Hanoi. Well executed Vietnamese food at a very high level and quality. But the main thing that made each dish pop were the various fish sauce based sauces that were served with each dish. By adding different herbs or varying the concentration of vinegar and fish sauce, they were able to achieve a perfect balance for each individual dish. ———— Food review of the items I tried ————— Appetisers: Nem lui nuóng sà cây - grilled minced pork on lemongrass skewers that were amazingly tender and juicy.

Nem rán truyên thông M - Fried spring rolls, deep fried perfection with juicy and tasty minced pork and mushroom filling.

Muc sôt mâm tòi - Marinated squid in “Mam” garlic sauce, Tender grilled squid with an umami packed garlicky sauce, simply delicious and well balanced.

Chà cá Lâng nuóng than hoa cuôn bánh tráng - Grilled catch of the day served with rice paper, noodles and herbs kept warm over a hot plate of burning charcoal Such an interactive dish as you are able to assemble your own roll so you can enjoy it anyway you like. Fish was nice and tender and well marinated, when wrapped in the crispy rice paper and herbs, it’s a mouthful of heaven.

Gòi cô hù dùa càng cua vâ tôm cháy - Grilled fire prawns served with a crispy rice cracker and young coconut bud and aroma salad. Nice and light salad with deliciously grilled prawns which were cooked to sweet perfection

Mains: Luòn vit nuóng sôt thào môe - Marinated grilled duck breast with herbal sauce Juicy flame grilled duck breast with crispy slightly charred skin and a tangy flavourful sauce to cut through the richness of duck meat.

Com rang ông tre - colourful fried rice with egg served in a bamboo holder for added fragrance and presentation. Wonderfully smoky and delicious

Tôm ú giây bac muôi nóng - Marinated prawns with herb on hot salt Marinated prawns wrapped in aluminium and “baked” over a charcoal fire until the shells were nice and crispy while the meat, hot and juicy. Dip it in a bit of chilli sauce for some added oomph.

Wok fried summer blossoms with garlic has a texture which is almost similar to sea grapes or broccoli. Very delicious and sweet with a very obvious breath of the wok flavour. This vegetable is only available during the summer period, thus the name summer blossom.

Dessert: Chuôi chiên côm non M - Deep fried banana with young puffed sticky rice and coconut ice cream. It tastes like the most perfect goreng pisang with added crunch factor from the puffed sticky rice while the ice cream acts as a nice sauce to pair with the fried banana.

Bánh côm truyên thông xoài dôt - Traditional green sticky rice cake with caramelised mango. Tastes like an Ang Ku kueh with caramel and mango, not the greatest of combinations as he mango doesn’t work well with the cake in my opinion.

Bánh Kem Lanh vi xoài và lá dúa - Mango and pandan Panama cotta, tastes like mango pudding with a pandan cream. Not great as well as the pudding is not smooth due to the mango fibres and the Pandan cream doesn’t work with the...

I had the impression of a full-course meal restaurant as seen by reviews in the past. However upon being seated, we were told it was an all you can eat alacarte dining experience with a seafood or "traditional Vietnamese menu". We went with the tradional vietnamese menu for 400k VN and although it isn't expensive, relative to the food here, it is a bit of money. The alcohol drinks were pretty much mocktails. The bun cha, cha gio, goi cuon appetizers were good. As we moved onto the entree section, there were 3 pages of choices and it was overwhelming. I chose some popular foods I recognized like bo kho, cang ca chua, suon nuong. Im not going to go into details but nothing tasted authentic or even close. I was so disappointed that I basically ordered dessert right after and left (we ordered coconut icecream but it was just frozen banana with coconut milk on top + black sticky rice yogurt which is exactly what it was but also underwhelming). I like food and I never leave restaurants but I had the expectation of a nice dine in place with good food and was served food that tasted nothing like Vietnamese food. It may have to tourists but what they were serving was not remotely close to what we ordered. It quite literally felt like we went to a cheap alacarte buffet.

A review is a review. I am not a picky eater and I dont typically write reviews but I just want others to be cautious that the consistency of this place is lacking and my experience wasnt very good. Its even evidenced by previous reviews where some people are getting fusion food and some are getting the buffet style. If i were to sum this all up, my experience would be rated a 5 star review if this was a food court and it was $5 for all you can eat,...

The food is delicious but what I find really odd is that the entres seem bigger than the mains. Adding to that, we ordered two of the same mains. "Fish". One had 2 pieces, the other 5.

Service is rather slow, they forget orders (especially drinks) and some on our table had to wait a long time until they got any food at all. Unfortunately. Moreover, just when we placed our dessert order, two more main dishes arrived. Very interesting...

To the manager: Maybe it will also be a good idea to tell staff not to play around on their mobile phones (especially in front of your guests) and rest their head on their arms, while leaning with the elbows on a cupboard.

The bathrooms should also be a touch cleaner. There was paper all over the place in both bathrooms I had used during our visit.

A comment to the charges: Our waiter overcharged everyone's beverages by 10K Don. Definitely a no go. I would have tipped more than 10K but seeing this, resulted in 0 tip and me definitely not recommending the restaurant or coming back again...

Delicious!!!! It used to be fusion Asian & European food before Covid (2020) with amazing creations to be honest… You now have the choice for: All you can eat Vietnamese buffet option (VND 490k) All you can eat buffet Seafood Options and (A la carte if I am not wrong). But for sure no fusion food anymore… :( With that being said, every single available plates are very traditional Vietnamese food (Papaya Salad, Spring rolls, Bò kho, Bò tiêu xanh…), portion are enough to enjoy the delicious taste and try the next one… The quality of the food is above great, while the service is friendly but lacking of organisation… we ended up with so many plates on our tables, and had to explain to the waiters what to remove, when to remove… The restaurant could propose big bottles of water instead of continuously serving 45k small La Viet bottles… Definitely good option for celebration as the location is pretty central too!!
