A Long Wait for Nothing I never write bad reviews. I’d rather walk it off and forget. But tonight’s dinner turned into a two-hour lesson in how not to run a restaurant - and it deserves to be told. I booked the table in person earlier today. I showed up hopeful, hungry, and polite. The waitress greeted us with a warning: food might take up to 40 minutes. Fair enough. We were patient. But two hours passed. No food. Not a crumb. Drinks? That was its own tragicomedy. Some of us got our soft drinks after 20 minutes. Our white wine took 40 - it was served cold, thankfully, but by then the mood had turned lukewarm. Eventually, we decided to leave. Then came the promises. Two staff members asked us to stay, assuring us all the food (not the drinks) would be on the house. We agreed, thinking perhaps the night could be salvaged. Moments later, another staff member arrived to cancel the deal. “You’ll have to pay for everything,” he said. No apology. Just a shrug. That was it. We got up and walked out. Meanwhile, guests who arrived well after us were being served before us. Maybe we were just unlucky. Maybe the stars were out for someone else tonight. This place might still be worth visiting - but only after the staff gets on the same page, and someone buys them...
Read moreDecided to go try this place given the good reviews and it was close to our hotel. Firstly for Vietnam, this place is FANCY. During dinner there were several couples/groups who were all well dressed (long dresses, heels, business attire etc) coming in for birthdays. We seriously felt under dressed! Nevertheless the staff were all friendly and helpful. We found the food took a while to arrive. We ordered 2 mock tails that were less than impressive - just bland taste with soda water added it seems. Not recommended. Our 10yo ordered the vegetarian pizza which was so so, nothing to write home about. We've had much better. Our 5yo had his usual spag bol and despite this being an adult portion he was aghast when it came out - "that's so tiny!" he exclaimed and he was right. For a 5yo he eats more than this adult portion! Nevertheless taste was ok. I had the shrimp fruit salad and it was TO DIE FOR! So delicious and highly recommended. Hubby had burger such was average. Overall this is a fancy place with nice quiet ambience. Wouldn't mind to return and try some of the other items...
Read moreThe owner of the restaurant just told the waiter that I should put my laptop away. The place is empty, my partner and I made an order for 700k dong, since I don't dine that late, I just ordered coffee. There is no one else in the room, I have not seen or heard anywhere about the rules about the inadmissibility of working with a laptop. I'm not trying to save money, I just feel more comfortable being in this room with my partner and I chose Stockholm because I can work here and my partner can eat well. Now I just have to wait until the food runs out to continue my work at home. Can I work from my smartphone or is that also prohibited? I went to your coworking space to work all summer, paid and recommended this place to everyone. I made posts on my social networks, like, finally a normal place. But, to forbid me to use a laptop - This is too much. Make a rule like, order food for 500k and use a laptop or something like that. The food is delicious, I was born near Sweden and I know all this. But guys, don't become Vietnamese, you...
