Lana Cooking Class & Restaurant — Restaurant in Ninh Bình Province

We had lunch at Lana’s 2 days and we also did a tour of Ninh Binh with Lana. Tour: Lana is so knowledgeable and passionate about Tam Coc and Ninh Binh and it really shows. She is a dedicated tour guide, answering all our questions and making the tour fun and interesting. I didn’t know much about the ancient history of Vietnam before I arrived, but having spent time with Lana, it made me more curious to find out more about its fascinating past. The tour is well paced and includes good toilet stops, which is always appreciated! Restaurant: unfortunately Lana wasn’t running the cooking classes while we visited as it was the low season, but we were able eat lunch at her restaurant. The food was AMAZING!!!!! Her and her family go to the market daily and choose fresh ingredients for the days menu. The service was fast, efficient and friendly and the amount saw us rolling out of the restaurant! Although there’s no air conditioning, the fans work really well and we didn’t actually notice the heat while dining, which was a nice reprieve! 10/10 would recommend visiting with Lana on your trip to...

We had the pleasure of dining at Lana Cooking Class & Restaurant twice for lunch during our stay in Tam Cốc (near Ninh Binh), and both meals were absolutely fantastic—fresh, full of variety, and the perfect reward after a morning of exploring in the heat.

Lana was also our tour guide for two days as we visited the stunning sights around Tam Cốc. She was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful—making our experience even more special. Her husband is a truly talented chef (they also run cooking classes, which we’d definitely try next time!), and we were lucky enough to meet their gorgeous children.

We had an amazing time at Lana’s cooking class in Tam Coc! The menu was fantastic, with both vegetarian and meat options available, and we got to cook everything ourselves from scratch. The fresh spring rolls were absolutely delicious — definitely the best we’ve ever had!

The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully set up. Lana was incredibly friendly and made us feel like part of the family. The process was simple and well-organized, making it easy and fun even for beginners.

We booked spontaneously and Lana was super responsive and helpful via WhatsApp. The price was very fair for such a high-quality, personal experience.
