I came to this restaurant last week with two friends. Our experience was marred by poor service and the awfulness of the drinks, which was frustrating as the pizza, in my opinion, was the best-tasting pizza I'd had in all of SE Asia until that point! The crust was tasty, if perhaps slightly too thick at the edge, and the cheese and pepperoni was delicious. For drinks, we ordered 2 "Fresh Mint Sodas" and another drink – we didn't finish any of them. I can only comment on my drink. It tasted like minty toothpaste thinned with water. They probably put mint gel in the glass, filled it with sparkling water and added one small mint leaf – that is NOT a FRESH mint soda! My friend who had the same drink was thinking about complaining to the staff, but NO ONE even looked in our direction, so after a few minutes she just gave up. And that's the second complaint I have: There was a lot of staff running around, and while most seats were filled when we arrived, you couldn't call it "too busy" to pay attention. Certainly not with so many waiters present. They left people standing at the entrance for a long time as well before addressing them, and funnily also suggested we go to the 2nd location they own (we probably should've done that). Staff at times were shouting at each other, they didn't banter or smile at guests and didn't seem to want to interact. I understand that there is probably a language barrier, but I've been travelling Vietnam for 5 weeks now and have been to restaurants where the waiters didn't speak a word English and still were warm and welcoming, so this is no excuse. We left disappointed, as it seems the people at this restaurant treat their pizzas as an obvious cash grab, so they don't have to put any effort into anything else....
Read moreWe went there right after the Tet holiday. I saw that the guy who sits on the cashier was cleaning his very long nails with his fingers. That view was not nice, but I thought someone else would make the pizzas. But I was wrong, the same guy made it. I don't think that he washed his hands before making the pizzas (unfortunately hygiene is terrible in Vietnam). Besides that, the restaurant wasn't clean and there was a chicken in the restaurant and was walking around (I never saw something like that before). The same night, I vomited all night and had diarrhea. My wife and other two friends also had diarrhea. I don't recommend this place. If you care about your health stay away.
Pay $2 or $3 more and go to Chookie's Beer Garden. The place is much nicer, pizzas are better and the most important thing is you don't need to worry about...
Read moreWent here for a burger and food was nice.. Service aswell, except I needed to get a train and ordered a taxi.. I was offered a ride by an employee instead.. He has a brother who could drive me for very cheap.. I told him i needed the ride at 9 pm and that was at 7:30 pm. Time went by and his brother never showed up, so i the employee ordered me a normal taxi without letting me know (and that while i said i wanted to go with grab actually, so i wanted to do the employee a favour) and I ended up having to go to the bank which didn't work and had to go al the way across town and ended up having to pay more than tripple the price and almost mist my train.. So thanks, ask me if your brother can bring me again...
