Ngọc Linh Restaurant — Restaurant in Ninh Bình Province

We ordered the papaya salad, garlic eggplant, steamed rice for two and two lime juices. Within 5mins of ordering we received a plate of morning glory(?) with a bowl of rice. We explained we didn't order this but the guy serving the food laughed walked away and told the waitress to pick up the dish (odd) she apologized and then not even 5 mins later we had a plate of raw eggplant and rice (previously served). We tried to eat it but it was inedible we looked to the waitress to come over and she saw us and ignored us. I then walked over and tried to explain that the eggplant was raw and she told the guy (chef?) He then took it and laughed and in two mins brought it back. We then decided to not eat there. Paid for our drinks and left - the pleasant service quickly turned after we decided not to eat there. The guy clearly wasn't interested in serving us which is a shame but we ended up going back to the Rose Ninh Loan restaurant. Offer similar food, pricing but great food...

Great Reaturant with friendly service. We attended around 5:30pm on a Monday and the place was semi busy. As the nights go on it does get busier ! We ordered … goat and rice 10/10 burger and fries 6/10 BBQ Chicken 11/10 The food was really good apart from the beef burger which was not to my taste, I found it quite fatty and the bun was too sweet. What does make this restaurant stand out is the quality of service. I ordered a 7-UP, unknown to me at the time they had sold out of this. Instead of asking if I would consider something else, (I would have taken anything else for information) the staff member hopped on his motorbike and drove to the shop to purchase a 7-UP to serve to me ☺️ the shop does have what seems to be a school or nursery in the back of it so you do see children being dropped off / picked up but they don’t cause any issues and are really smiley and wave as...

Had the duck and chicken pho. Neither were particularly special, half way through the meal the TV was put on at a volume that could be heard a few restaurants away(other owners came to watch)

The worst part was we were sat near a bird in a cage. Just before our meal came an older man came over and opened the cage and proceeded to poke at the bird whilst it angrily pecked him, he did this for long enough that we started shouting "stop poking the bird" and "I hope it pecks your eyes out" but that only seemed to egg him on. Eventually I managed to mime that it wasn't OK and he left the bird cage open and said its OK, It doesn't want to leave. Maybe it doesn't but we certainly did.

In case the owners read this, please stop poking the bird. Or any bird. Or any animal. I don't actually know any humans that like it.
