Came here upốn recommendation from my homestay host. He only recommended me this the last two days of my stay at Ninh Bình else I would always come back here to try more dishes.
We came for lunch the first time and had Pho Bo which is beef noodle soup. Best one we’ve tasted since we were in Ninh Bình and the prices are very reasonable compared to those along the streets. I also tried the Banh Mi Chicken. Bread was crispy and very flavourful but I think he forgot to give me my veggies. Due to the packed lunch crowd.
Decided to return here for dinner the same night. My friend tried their Chicken Fried Rice and I had Bun Thịt lợn which is nice. Fried rice was good. And their vermicelli shrimp roll! Better then the ones I had at another shop 👍🏼👍🏼
Went there again this morning for brunch and tried their Bánh Mì Bò (Beef) this time with vegetables and super delicious with the crispy bread.
Would definitely recommend friends here to try their food. Owned by an uncle who solo run during the day and the wife and son will help out during the busy dinner crowd. Be prepare to wait if u go during busy hours as it’s a one man chef and good food needs to wait a little ! Very cosy very friendly environment to dine in!
Thank you for serving us hot piping delicious food! I will be sure to come back and enjoy the food again with my family...
Read more⚠️🚫 Worst food and service I have had in Vietnam full stop! How does this have a 4.9 star rating? To start it took so long to even have our order taken considering it wasnt that full, we patiently waited as we were in no hurry, others went to the desk to order as they were sick of waiting, once we finally did and after a very long wait we had multiple dishes turn up to the table that were not ours, they had no idea who had ordered what.. Our drinks arrived after a long wait and were warm, after staggering all of our meals we were ready to eat.. No flavour to any of the dishes, beef in the pho was chewy, chicken was over cooked and tasted like it was coated in straight flour and water, the chips were greasy, fried rice was flavourless & to top it off the Chicken bahm mi was the worst I have ever seen or tasted which is very hard to do in Vietnam, its insides had fallen out the backend of it and as my child referred to it "it looked like munched up tuna" with a terrible side of salad. Read moreIf I could give this family owned restaurant 10 stars I would! We stumbled upon this hidden gem and it was the best food we have eaten in Vietnam. We ended up eating here twice. We tried the papaya salad, banana flower salad, goat noodle soup, tofu and veggie noodle soup (no meat broth, bonus!), and both goat and tofu lemongrass and chili with rice. Everything was so delicious and fresh. The owners speak a bit of English and explained that many vegetables and fruits used in the dishes grow in their garden. The husband is a vegetarian chef and really knows how to make good vegetarian meals that taste amazing. They don’t use any MSG and put so much love in preparing each dish. They are also super friendly and love to chat. What a lovely experience! If you are in Tam Coc, do not skip this place. You will not be disappointed. Thank you from two very...
