The Alley Tam Coc (Coffee, Matcha, Smoothie bolw, Salad, Vegan, Food and Drinks). — Restaurant in Ninh Bình Province

This place has been one of my best choices during my trip to Vietnam. One of those small things that make me happy, make me enjoy my life. When I visited this place for the first time, I was a Belgian student doing his master thesis in Vietnam, fleeing to Tam Coc from the noisy Hanoi. My days consisted basically in typing on a laptop keyboard for 8 or 10h a day, and my meals were my resting moments. During a twelve-day span, I visited this place at least half a dozen times, coming for lunch at 1pm, at 3pm, at dinner for 7pm… not a single time did the family holding “The Alley Tam Coc” not make me feel welcome. This place has one of the best price/quality ratios of the whole town, (I have yet to try something that I don’t find delicious), and the inner courtyard is as peaceful as one can ask for, with its nice pomelo trees. But, besides that, they make you feel welcome, and you can just sense that people here want you to enjoy your meal AND your time spent on it; and leave in a better mood than when you crossed the alley’s threshold. First of all, I have been here in Vietnam for sometime and have tried many egg coffees. I would confidently say that this one is the best I have tried! She uses farm-raised, fresh eggs and honey, not sugar! And makes it on the spot! We came here everyday on our trip because the egg coffee and the staff were just the highlight of our trip. On top of being a great egg coffee, the staff were just amazing… The sweetest people you will meet. They treated us like family and made sure we were always taken care of. She even taught me how to make egg coffee! I was surprised how clean and hygienic everything was (I have worked in the kitchen in the past) We felt really lucky to have found this cute cafe. It’s hard to find places that have good, quality egg coffees and a heart-warming staff that made you feel loved. We were offered something new everyday from fruits, spring rolls, and always leaving with a water and smile : ) I recommend trying their food too! Especially their spring rolls! I was so surprised I was the only one there because the food and customer service is amazing. Situated outside a home is the cutest patio restaurant, shaded with a large fan that’s placed infront of you . The customer service is amazing. The moment I walked in the whole family welcomed me with kind smiles and waves. I ordered pork with lemongrass and it comes with rice, coconut coffee and watermelon juice to cool me down.
