Despite the high 4.8 rating, my experience at Pizza Sen in Ninh Binh was underwhelming. The location is pleasant and centrally located, just across from a bright and charming square. The staff was friendly—especially the man who took our order. He spoke good English and was welcoming at first.
However, our experience quickly took a turn. My boyfriend specifically requested a pepperoni pizza without olives. When the pizza arrived, it had olives on top. We kindly asked for it to be remade, explaining the allergy. Just two minutes later, the same pizza came back—with some olive pieces still clearly visible. This showed a complete lack of care or understanding for dietary restrictions, which is unacceptable and potentially dangerous.
As for the food, the seafood pasta had decent flavor, but the sauce had an odd consistency that didn’t sit well. Read moreMy wife and i visited Pizza Sen twice in one day during our stay in Ninh Binh. At lunch the staff were friendly, and the pizzas for lunch were nice...we had a carrot juice each in a large glass and it was great - all carrot juice. We'd eaten one piece and the manager wouldn't compromise by taking it off the bill or supplying a small margherita or anything else. Just that we could order another one and would have to pay for both still.
It's a shame that it's not written anywhere that it comes with pineapple. So we were pretty disappointed, so be warned.
That said, if you like pineapple (like me), they're...
