The location of the hotel is great as it is close to the tourist attractions.
We stayed in room 409, a VIP room, supposed to be for two night. The room itself was spacious, and the bed was large and comfortable for a couple. However, we had to put the quilt cover on the quilt ourselves, and the cover was dirty. The bathroom floor mat looked unwashed, the towels were stained, and the shower drain was blocked. Additionally, the bathroom had a strong sewage smell.
An inconsistent buzzing noise disturbed our sleep. When we tried to call reception, we discovered the phone didn’t work. My partner had to physically go down to reception, where they acknowledged the issue but didn't offer an immediate solution. We requested a room change, which they accommodated.
We were moved to room 415, another VIP room, for the second night. Again, we had to put the quilt cover on, but this time the quilt was stained with something that looked like mold or blood, which was completely unacceptable. The phone in this room also didn’t work, so my partner had to find someone to help us change the quilt. The housekeeper mentioned that the quilt isn't often used, so they didn't have a spare and we had to use the one from the previous room. The bathroom floor mat and towels were just as dirty as the previous room, and the sewage smell was even worse.
Our stay included breakfast, which was below average. The placemats on the table wasn’t clean and unfortunately, I found a dead spider in my food, which completely ruined my appetite.
Overall, this was a highly disappointing experience, especially considering these were supposed to be VIP rooms. Significant improvements can be made in the management...
Read moreWe arrived at the hotel on a bike. Touring the country. We had the place picked out when we left Ha long. We hadn’t pre booked so we stopped the bike in front of the hotel and got shouted at by the parking attendant / porter. So I parked where the cars were. Got shouted at again, so we moved down further. Again he was now getting angry from a distant and another started on me from the other side. Let’s be fair, I don’t speak Vietnamese, they didn’t speak English, but in these situations where nobody knows what anybody else is talking about, there’s always an easier and better way to handle it. Roaring and shouting is not one of them. I rode back up to the parking attendant outside the front door to see if I could decipher what he wanted us to do. After flapping his hands about we realised that there was motorbike parking in the far off corner which we were forced into. Still no room booked, and now we were being asked for a payment for parking that I didn’t really need as we weren’t allowed in to book. We eventually got back on the bike to go look elsewhere and sadly we never even made it inside the front door of the hotel. This is the only reason we’re giving 3 stars. As if it was on their porter we were to make a decision, it would be zeros. I’m hoping that the review will be read by the hotel manager so as to maybe sort it out, as they are the ones loosing out in revenue. Porter...
Read moreI arrived at the hotel at 7:00am after being dropped off from a bus right by the hotel. I was exhausted after barely getting any sleep on an overnight bus. I walked in and asked if they had any rooms available that I could check in right then. They told me the only room available was their VIP room. I took it so I could get some rest. There were some loud kids slamming doors and the sound proofing wasn’t very good. ||The room was very large, most likely because it was VIP. After sleeping for a bit, I asked the front desk what they recommend that I do for the day and they didn’t have many suggestions. I also asked if they could help book a train ticket to Hue and they couldn’t help. They didn’t speak much English, and they didn’t seem very interested in helping me. ||The breakfast was ok and wasn’t mostly cleared out when I arrived towards the end of it. I thought the location was...
