CocoSea Restaurant by Hoang Ngoc Beach Resort — Restaurant in Phan Thiết City

Went here after reading all the 5* rewievs and left very disappointed. First service was VERY slow. And we had to repeatedly ask staff for basic needs such as napkins, to order our food and trying to get in contact with them for paying made us think they wouldn’t even have noticed if we left without paying. We ordered the fried rice with seafood. It took a long time after ordering to receive the food even though there were just a few others in the restaurant. When it arrived it looked fancy. But it tasted like NOTHING, honestly I was surprised how they managed to make the food so dull. Also the squid was like rubber, very bad quality and for what you paid (210k per dish) you’d expect a lot higher quality of the seafood. We went to one of the less expensive restaurants close to this one, ordered a dish with seafood for less than half and the squid and scrimps where SO much better.

We both where super disappointed with this place and do not get how on earth they can have so good reviews. Maybe it’s because you get 10% off the bill if you rate them 🤷🏼‍♀️🤔

Ps please ad more songs to your playlist! The same 3 Christmas songs over and over is not a nice vibe. I do not wish to hear jingle bells 21 times...

The „premium” option at Hoang Ngoc Resort.

The food in this restaurant was fresh, served elegantly and quickly. There is a large variety in the menu, meaning that even picky eaters would be satisfied. The restaurant itself is located on a beach, with a nice sea view, which adds to the atmosphere.

The highlight for us were cocktails and especially signature ones such as passion fruit mojito or piñacolada-style one served in a fresh coconut.

Staff was communicative and friendly, with good knowledge of English. Card payments are also accepted, something which is not exactly a common thing in Vietnam.

Bear in mind however that prices in here were quite high, much higher than in local restaurants, which offered similar dishes for a noticeably smaller price.

We would recommend making use of a „happy hour” between 15:30-18:00, during which all cocktails are 30% off and are then a good value.

It is only a shame that guests are kind of steered towards it due to horrible quality of the other restaurant - Water Lily, which makes you think if these high prices are due to exceptional service or to extract money...

Can we say ultimate beach restaurant! It’s stationed right in front of the beach at Hoang Ngoc Beach Resort. This is probably a hidden gem because it is at a resort but you get to eat at the lounge tables between the pool and beach, on the outside patio, in the restaurant or on the beach at a cabana. The service is amazing as Tinh (restaurant captain) gives satisfying service-satisfying meaning he will do whatever to make you happy and won’t stop until he does! The food was great with large portions. Definitely would come for date night or special dinners....
