Who gave this place that many stars and for what? Wondering if those clients had food there..... The atmosphere is beautiful, green, place pretty. But how can you enjoy it when food and service are so bad? The prices of the food & drinks are a rip off, the "healthy fish with veggies" was oily and totally unappealing till I got to eat it, cause my food arrived in parts - first part being the fish (which was otherwise actually quite tasty when warm), the other the salad that belongs to it 20 min later and another being a side dish (which admittedly I didn't notice that this didn't have any so I orderd it once I got the plate and saw it). But I have asked for ANY side dish: potatoes, rice, WHATEVER would be the quickest on my plate and would allow me to eat it together with the fish & veggies. It took another 35 minutes to get it. Literally anything else they had in the kitchen as a potential side dish would have been much quicker (they had tupperware of already cooked rice! and or could have made fries, which would have been quicker than slowly cooked potatoes wedges or perhaps even nchima). So I ended up taking away the half of my already cold fish with veggies and meanwhile vaseline-like juices + the potatoes to take away and unfortunately they weren't good to enjoy the next day at home. It was 230K in total and at least the half of that was wasted. I hate food waste. 😢 And hate to waste money too. Some people work hard for them, you know? My friend had another dish, also expensive and it contained supermarket bought "artificial" dressing, that none of us would buy in supermarket for a few coins, let alone put on an expensive food in a fancy restaurant. My "medium" cappuccino had, for some reason, a giant size of about 350 ml and a double shot of espresso. Apparently this isn't even the large size. Also wasted the half. 🙄 I'm wondering if the owners have ever actually seen another restaurant. Ok, so for the potential new clients: even if probably sometimes you'll have the luck to get a reasonably tasting food or drinks, please know that this is not a place to have a lunch during a time-limited lunch break. I wasn't in a hurry but qe have spend at least 1h45 min there just to have a meal! There were 4 other people in the whole place, so not crowded as to overwhelm the people who work there. I won't go there again unless forced by circumstances (eg if in a group who who insists on it). Otherwise thanks...

It's found in rhodespark, but I appreciate how quiet and serene this cafe is. You rarely hear the noise from the nearby roads/places. It's so green!!! I love their aesthetic, from their plants to decor. It just fits in so well with their name. I was happy to see that they sell plants/trees at such fair prices, too! Their music isn't loud, and it honestly just feels like you are in a literal garden, I enjoyed every minute of it.
I loved my quesadillas! (The portion is big enough to share among two people, I had to carry some home!). On their own, they were so soft and had crunchy ends. The filling was flavourful, and it had a great mix of sweet and sour to it. They had sour cream and guacamole as sides, and it just added to what was already so great. I was very impressed. I equally ordered freshly squeezed Orange and Carrot juice(twice😅). Other fruits were not available, so it was still a good drink to have. My dessert was two scoops of ice cream, impulse decision ,but still worth it.
The service was quite impressive. There was only one person who was by the bar as a bartender/waiter and I wish I could remember his name! He was very attentive to everyone who was there at the time(about 5 tables were taken). I wish he had more help, but he handled it so well. He knew the menu, what was available and what wasn't, he was quite helpful with everything else that I had questions about and he just seemed to be having a good time at his bar station when he wasn't on waiter duty.
I was impressed to find out that they have some personalized products that they hand make, I'd like to go back and try it out. For a place that randomly popped up on my Google maps as a recommendation, I was happy it...
Read moreWe are fully aware of the challenges posed by the current loadshedding situation in the country. However, the decision to sell precooked food as a mitigation strategy presents significant risks that could endanger the health and safety of your customers.
The consequences of such measures can be severe, leading to serious health issues and hospital bills that far outweigh the cost of a meal. It is one thing to address an energy crisis, but it is another to compromise on food safety, which can have dire outcomes for those who consume it.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could avoid selling seafood under such circumstances to ensure the well-being of...
