I had the pleasure of trying the Shoka Steak at Mpoto Yathu, and I have to say, I was blown away by the quality of the food. The meal left me feeling extremely satisfied. I paired my steak with rice and beans as the accompanying sides and was thoroughly satisfied (the restaurant offers a variety of side options for you to choose from). The steak was cooked to perfection and had a delicious flavor that I won't soon forget.

Aside from the food, I also enjoyed the general vibe of the restaurant. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, which made for a great dining experience.

Overall, I would highly recommend Mpoto Yathu to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming environment. If you're a steak lover like me, then you absolutely have to try the Shoka Steak – you won't be...

The food and drinks are always excellent but these days the pace gets too full of customers. This, therefore, calls for quick service delivery and also calls for standby members of staff that can settle incoming customers. There was a day I, together with a friend, had to leave because we could not find space. I noticed on my recent visit that a write up signage has been put up at the entrance notifying customers to await to be seated which is good. The waiters should also keep tab on their allocated table so that there is quick service. Finally, the favourite dish the Nyama shokas seem to have reduced in quantity compared to the early days.! Otherwise, i recommend this place to anyone with a big appetite for lunch at a cool...

I went to Mpoto, a fine dining restaurant serving Zambian cuisine, popular among tourists. The restaurant is clean & good open air table seating.. However, I was unable to order a meal due to the extreme busyness during peak lunch hours. Tables were scarce, and it was challenging to spot a waiter. Unfortunately, I ended up leaving without being seated or served. I'm eager to try their food, but I'll have to visit during off-peak hours to avoid the chaos. I dislike feeling lost and standing around clueless in a restaurant - hopefully, my next experience will be better! No food review from me this time, but...

Mpoto Yatu is a lunchtime gem, offering diverse, well-crafted dishes that won't break the bank. The food, whether local or international, is full of flavor and expertly prepared. The restaurant is budget-friendly without compromising on quality. It's important to note that Mpoto Yatu primarily serves lunch and closes afterward, so plan your visit accordingly. Despite this limitation, the restaurant is a must-visit for a delicious and affordable dining experience.

Had a great time here! Food was amazing. Well prepared. The waiting staff was very helpful and professional. Appreciated the Zambian ambience and how everything had a traditional chic touch. I loved that the bathrooms were marked in our native language. Keep doing what you're doing. It's quite unique. It's a great place to share our culture with foreign friends , clean, organized and great atmosphere! I hope that one day you make your way up to the copperbelt!
