Meraki Café — Restaurant in Lusaka Province

Not so different from their other two branches but I will say this one is a little slower when it comes to service. I noticed that right off the bat, there were a lot of their staff just standing even as people came and went. It took five minutes(plus) for them to leave their standing post to attend to myself and others. I understand it might be busy and they might be tired too but the service of any eating establishment either makes or breaks it. If it could be worked on, that would be appreciated.

I loved their atmosphere, the place is green and so clean, I found it relaxing. They played soft music during the afternoon it changed as time went on but still quiet enough. Lucky for me, it started raining for hours on this same day and I was tempted to get two cups of coffee(dangerous but worth it!).

I ordered a creamy chicken pasta, which was my safest bet. By looking at it, I did not get excited and thought it would taste as plain as ever but they proved me wrong and it was definitely creamy and the chicken was so soft it felt like I was just chewing something similar to pasta. I ordered carrot cake for dessert(another safe bet) and I just didn't like it as much. It was dry and even though I could tell that it was fresh, it was just not as soft and tasty as I expected it to be. I ordered a green goddess, which they put ginger in even though it is not listed as one of the ingredients on the menu, it added a terrible taste to the juice and I didn't enjoy it as much. The latte and cappuccino were perfect and strong, no complaints there.

Once again, my main emphasis would just be for them to work on their service, it would be great to visit restaurants and not have to worry about how the staff might treat...

😂 I have to laugh this off first. I went in casually dressed on a work day. So maybe. A big maybe they prioritise based on looks. I was ready to order big but I was ignored for quite a while. I was given a menu and that was it. I had to make serious eye contact with a waiter to get feedback. That’s not even the best part. I was feeling full so I was going for desert so that I can just enjoy the weather 🤭. When my cake came through, it was accompanied by a plastic fork. As seen in Exhibit A, the picture attached. Had to wait for the waiter to bring a fork after requesting. I don’t understand why I was given a plastic fork when I was clearly dining in. As I eat my yummy cake I am disappointed in the service. If I do stop by again I will probably dress like aunt RICH RICH and have a presence to command the...

I rarely give bad ratings, however, I've visited this place more times than I should (considering the service, always). I made my order at 14:15. The assuring waiter told me it would take 10 to 15mins. I was only being at 15:25hrs. The food lacked good presentation. My mashed potato was soggy, and yep- you guessed right: the pepper steak was cold (imagine a sauce on cold steak). This is not the first time I experiencing this type of service here. Its a Saturday there were 2 families or 2 tables that had some celebrations, and management sees nothing wrong with having 1 waiting personnel to attend to all their guests. The waiter appeared overwhelmed, but managed to "Keep his cool". The service here has never been good and I don't foresee anything change...
