We came across Play2day when I drove up from London to collect some things for my business. The children were with me and we went to play2day. This is one of the best indoor play areas I have been to. There are two large climbing multi level frames one with cockpits of cars, planes and other vehicles at the end of tunnels and the cockpits move a bit which is fun. There is a bouncy castle also and a super slide which is almost vertical and loads of fun even if it took my kids the better part of half an hour to go down it. Once they went down they wouldn't stop. There is a laser tag room which only costs £2.50 which is a great price. You can buy socks at the desk if you forget and they are not overpriced. There is a cafeteria with all kinds of eating options from sandwiches to pizzas and full breakfast. The meals all have a child's and adult option priced accordingly. There is so much seating space that you never feel crowded. The play area is in a huge building and it feels open and airy instead of some that feel compact and stuffy. The toilets are spacious bright and clean. The staff are great and all seem to be in a great mood. This is the second time we came here, again to collect something, and the children insisted that we come here again. They are happily playing away. Another good thing is that the price allows you to stay as low no as you like not like some where you only get a couple of hours. This is a top play area and highly...
Read moreGreat indoor place to take young children. There's the huge warehouse sized climbing and play den for children about 5 to 11 years which is great fun for grandparents like me also. A smaller safe play area and equipment for toddlers and millions of balls to play with. There's a large bouncy castle type play area but much more spacious than ordinary bouncy castles. Also a bouncy safe climbing area. An enclosed and windowless huge multi storied room is used for safe laser type gun fights. It's so big (and dark) I couldn't find my three grandsons. The organisers say children should be supervised, which to me means getting involved and going on equipment with them. But most parents seem a bit shy and just watch from the cafe seating area ......boring. Just take your shoes off and pretend you're still a kid. Maybe a little embarrassing when you get lost or a bit stuck in the 3D tube maze, you do need to be at least a bit flexible as tubes are definitely not designed for people over five feet tall. All this and more, you can honestly spend hours here, it's very good value for money and the kids love it, what more can you ask for. Note. If the children want to go down the very steep slide (the kids call it the "Death Slide") you will need to ask for an attendant as they are not allowed to use it on their own. Also they insist on long sleeve shirt or jumper while...
Read moreArrived around 12.15 to celebrate my daughter’s birthday £37 for a 6 year old, a 5 year old and a 3 year old. £25 for three kids meals and two terrible coffees. But the biggest upset was not being told they close for an hour at 1.30 - you really should warn customers, especially ones who come in later and order food later, I saw a family be served food 5 minutes before announcing they close at 1.30, that’s not enough time to expect children to eat. We didn’t have time to do our child’s birthday cake because we weren’t warned about closure times and I couldn’t see any clear sign posts. I am now aware it’s on the website but this information should be widespread. The member of staff manning the inflatable - wasn’t even watching it, plenty of kids falling and crying for him to just stand there. It was also impossible to hear the announcements, other than the closure one. Just muffled noise.
Having said that, plenty to do for...
