Marion Outdoor Pool — Attraction in Adelaide

We choose the Marion outdoor pool for a birthday party. The facilities are great and the kids did really enjoy the water. Weather was spectacular. The 2 hour party time slot that is given is really tight. It simply isn’t enough time. The party host whilst friendly seemed stressed and frustrated. It felt rushed and very unorganised. It was really disappointing that the pre purchased food was 45 mins late. It was very clear that they did not have enough staff to cover the work. Some of the food that was ordered also didn’t arrive. Thankfully I was provided a partial refund. We weren’t given the water slide tags until after the first hour. This did not give them enough time to use them.

Whilst the kids had a great time which is of course the main thing. It was very unorganised.

Would not recommend at all. Staff are incredibly difficult to deal with. Ordered catering as we were not allowed to bring our own food in. Menu is grossly overpriced and misleading. ‘Tomato chutney’ is master foods packet sauce. ‘Angus beef pies’ were anything but Angus beef and in fact not even beef pies but actually half curried pies. ‘Platters’ served in take away boxes. Majority of the food was binned at the end. Staff consistently lied and were obnoxious in communications regarding a number of issues. Booking my sons party was difficult and required numerous back and forth calls. I attempted to rectify the issue immediately and requested a refund. My request was met with multiple roadblocks and claims of deceit. Looks and seems like a great place to visit, but hidden beneath is an abundance of clearly unhappy and under pressure staff not coping being the face of such a poorly run business. This place was very clean and seemed popular the reason for 2 stars being that The extra price they charge for the 2 waterslides they have is ridiculous, it's $24 dollars for a family pass for pools and kids slides area But jumps to 80 dollars to add the 2 other full sized water slides which are nothing special also they sold the sessions knowing they had swimming lessons in every pool including the kids pools meaning as far as actual swimming there was an angle deep part and one single lane if the adult pool available the entire 2 hour session on top of this they had booked ohsc sessions which then meant long waits for the slides all in all a good park but the management of their sessions is terrible cjeatly the money is far more important then the customer service so we payed $80 for 2 hours and got zero swim time and about 3 or 4 goes in the slides so all in all I would NOT...
