The quality has gone downhill. Compared to other stores, they're very stingy on toppings and fillings in their products. I bought a feta & spinach pull apart for staff at work and it was very crusty and hardly any feta in it. Very bland and just tasted like a plain bread roll. I've also noted that they only put a sprinkling of parmesan on top of their Rodini compared to other stores that put a decent amount on them. I bought a white chocolate & blueberry scone and it was still raw in the middle. They seem to have a lot of stock left over at the end of the day that they donate to Food Bank and this is probably why, as their quality is definitely not as good as other ones...
Read moreI have been buying low gi. For some years using fresh or from the freezer. Normally freezes extremely well how ever in the last few weeks the bread is not the same. Is loads smaller tastes different and does not freeze well in fact I have thrown 2 loaves out 1 each week. I have tried bakers delight at Marion and UNLEY they too are not up to standard. Read moreIt's only a tiny little shop and there can be quite a few people in line at certain times of the day but prices are very reasonable for what you get and that's delicious pastries of a generous size and even at the end of the day they usually have a pretty reasonable selection of pies and cakes. I got off the bus several stops early just to go there and then walked home to burn at least some of it off. I'm glad it's not too close to me or I would weigh 10...
