Disappointing experience - Took the family for breakfast expecting the food options to be bigger, tastier and more enjoyable. Upon ordering I was told they do not serve oat milk for coffee's. This was fine, alternative was almond. Started ordering meals and was then told they don't have salmon, mushrooms or avocado. This was a surprise, especially for a place offering breakfast options. We added hollandaise onto our meals as an addition as there was no sauce included. Upon receiving our meals and coffees we were served our coffee's in takeaway cups despite eating in. This was strange, anyway when our meals arrived they were very light on with what we ordered. I.E 1 piece of bacon, on a tip top damper bun which was served cold. The big breakfast was nothing special at all, the hash browns were ok, sausage was cold though. The hollandaise was served in a plastic takeaway container and did not taste like hollandaise, we weren't sure what it was tbh. The coffee itself was disgusting and I'm not joking, instant would have been acceptable in this case! I honestly don't know how it could have been made so bad. The points that made this experience very lack luster is the fact we ate in but yet they served our coffee and sauces in take away containers and the meals themselves could have been made at home for a 3rd of the price with the extras we asked for, and tasted 50 times better. Considering the focus on sustainability and the environment, using takeaway containers for people eating in when we had plates already and all they needed is reusable cups for coffee to serve in...

Presented with two options for ordering, at the counter or on a phone app, resteraunt pushes to use the app as is the only way to change the meal items (for example use almond milk for a coffee) and provides a 10% discount compared to ordering via speaking to a human while in the resteraunt for dine in.
Drinks came in take away cups despite dining in but neither were made with almond milk as requested. When we asked for them to be remade we were advised we would be charged for them. Staff eventually agreed to remake the almond iced coffee with almond milk, they came back with almond milk + icecream in a takeaway cup, no coffee whatsoever.
Maple syrup + marshmallow for a babycino also came in takeaway containers and bags?
The actual food itself was reasonable and at a good standard for quality and quantity but by the time we received we were already quite soured by the customer service.
All in all, paid 60 dollars (after 10% discount) to not get the drinks we asked for the first time OR second time, an alienating ordering experience with no customer service and merely...
Read moreLast weekend we visited another Adelaide Pancake shop and were disappointed with the visit. We took a chance and decided to try Pancakes at the Port. Will say....night and day difference. Social Distancing done the right way with limits on visitors dining as well as online ordering at the table. Would knock half a star off if I could for the online ordering system as there is limited options to customise food and no individual options like hash browns or chips without ordering another meal, which makes it hard to fussy kids. The service from the staff though is amazing. Very friendly and happy to assist with the online ordering process for those who may be less technical. The food tastes fantastic too with dressings that appear the right amount for the plate.... Not too busy and not over the top. Food delivered to the table in a timely manner and nothing was forgotten about. Meals brought out in unison too meaning no diner had to wait. Coffee is very nice too.... So good to know they have a barista who knows how to make coffee. Great atmosphere. Will definitely...
